    LG UH615A Horizontal Lines issue

    Hello, 1 year old set been displaying an intermittennt issue and continually getting worse. Intermittent Horizontal lines flashing up across the screen in multiple locations. This indicates to me a bad panel and not a T-Con issue. Does anyone concur?

      Photo of the problem will help but yes general rule is bad panel. Some can be fixed by neutering certain tabs. But i'll let those who have done this chime in.

          I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

          I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...

          First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

          I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

          I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

          I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

          Hello again good souls.

          Got an UE70TU7100. The TV starts up just fine, but right hand side of the screen is horizontal striped a bit, and there are some flickering horizontal lines on the whole length of the screen. I've seen similar static horizontal lines sometimes, when applying the cut tape method and covering wrong number of pins.

          I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

          The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear.           Less than a year out of warranty, samsung UE49MU6105K craps out, they've got this designed obsolescence down to an exact science of self destruct when out of warranty...

          Screen started to show horizontal lines and ghosted image at the bottom, then turned off by itself.
