    Samsung PN51D7000 Issue

No Picture, no audio, power led will flash 6 times when power is recycled. Digital board attempts to power, green led will come on for several seconds, then shut down for 2 seconds. I thought a Y-Board issue, replaced, same symptoms. Client (of course they never tell you the whole story) then tells me their 3 year old smack the front of the panel with something, that's when they lost picture & sound. Panel isn't visibly cracked, but I understand if they take a hit, the gasses can escape.
    Anyone have any ideas?

I unplugged the main from PS, and no the panel didn't illuminate. Was later informed that doesn't work with Plasma's. So I should unplug X & Y from the PS, if it doesn't turn on I assume a bad panel?

X Board is powered through the Y Board from the PS. Should I disconnect the X & Y from PS (X via Y) or disconnect X & Y from the digital board?

Set everything up to measure vs before turning on the set. At turn on you will then have a couple of seconds to see if that voltage is generated. Chances are if the screen had a good wack then the slightest split at edge join could allow plasma to escape.

Whacked with a tambourine thrown at it. I've been informed, disconnect the X & Y from the digital, anyone concur?

              Re: Samsung PN51D7000 Issue

if vs and va are not present with all hooked up and power button pressed, then disconnect the x-main and try again. if still no vs and va, disconnect buffers. if vs and va still don't come up, disconnect y-main and recheck vs and va.

no picture will be present while doing this, so it is the voltage that tells you that the boards are running or not.
WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?

The logic board LED 5 secs ON, 2 secs OFF, indicates a Driving Board Problem (DRV Reset). What is the Driving Board? FYI, the Y-Board has been replaced. They lost picture when a 3 year old threw a tambourine at the TV. I keep thinking that although the screen didn't crack, it took enough of a hit to release the gases in the panel?

                  Re: Samsung PN51D7000 Issue

From 2010 models these plasmas became harder to check as disconnection of boards leads to shutdown in 3 seconds after switch on. Driver boards Y and X plus their attached buffers are logical problem source and to check these as set out above you have to be all set up and check reading in that first couple of seconds. I do not know that plasma escape would affect circuit operation - anyone know that answer?

Samsung Series 9 - BIOS issue
                    by Kjell
After installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).

Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...

Samsung DM32D – Red LED blinks 5 times, won’t start (possible mainboard issue)
                    by Nairolf
                    Hello,

                    I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.

Here’s what I have tried so far:
                    1. Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
                    2. Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
                    3. Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.

From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...

Samsung SyncMaster 740n Phase Control Issue
                    by vincentedel
                    Hello,
I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.

I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...

                    QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV Issue
                    by Manucsl
                    Hello.

My TV is a QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV.

Issue : When you plug the 220V, voltages are OK on the power board and you can hear the click from the relay, but TV is not starting when power button is pressed. Red led is blinking when you press power button. But no images or sound ( Back-light is off )
Then if you disconnect the cable from the main board to the power supply, the TV back-light turns on.
Any ideas to check would be very appreciated 😊

After reading some posts on this forum, I suspect an eeprom issue so I bought a CH341A to dump...
