Daewoo 32" - not coming out of standby

A friend of mine hasn't turned on one of his TVs in 5 years. Now, upon plugging it in, it just blinks the red light every 2 seconds. I've tried pressing all the buttons, keeping them pressed, combinations, a universal remote on scan mode, ...

It's a 32" Daewoo, DLP-something model (didn't write it down yet), HD Ready, from around 2008-2009. The newest component fabrication date I could found was mid-2008.

I've checked all the rails: power supply seems good, provides 5V for standby. Upon getting 5V to a "P/O" pin (assume it means power-on), the 12V, 23V and 28V lines come up. I could also manually power on the backlight.

The mainboard seems to have most voltages: 5V main, the regulated 3.3 and 1.8V. All regulators I could see have the correct voltage on them.
There is some voltage coming up on the buttons, 1.8V, seems a bit low, gets pulled to the ground when pressing a button.

That's as far as I could go without proper tools. The main/processor board somehow is not waking the system. There are no burn marks, no smell, nothing popped when the tv was plugged back in.

maybe a firmware issue maybe try freeze spraying the eeprom chip we can help more if you provide the full model number and pictures of each of the boards used in the tv and also the board numbers used.

Thank you for replying, it was late in the night so didn't have a lot of time to document everything, I will get some detailed photos in the next days.
I started this thread without all the information, as I thought it might be a common issue or something that someone has already dealt with.
As a note, the TV was working fine before being unplugged, has <<1000h and there was no dust or water ingress. I cannot imagine what can go wrong in 5 years of being unplugged, as I cannot see any battery, caps look alright. Bit rot perhaps?

bad esr on some capacitors maybe but you seem too have a lot of the voltages once we see pictures and know the board numbers we can advise more not knowing what psu and mainboard is used in this set isnt helping us hence few replys at the minute

Just as a quick update, I think the issue was caused by a bad EEPROM, unfortunately I don't have the tools at hand to fix that. Either swapping in the flash chip for a new one or rewriting the old one (with working data or FFs) will likely fix the problem.

too be honest if you cant get the correct firmware that matches the lcd panel used in the set its sometimes cheaper just to buy a mainboard of ebay etc with a returns policy just incase arrives faulty, as long as it matches the board used in the set and also the lcd panel number you should be fine a lot of time is cheaper than a pre programmed eeprom/spi flash ic.
