http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement-...-/361798126670 Do you think these will work? They are not as cheap as the ones you suggested but 12 LEDs and diffuses for $10 is still a lot cheaper than new LED strips.

Those should work but you really don't need the lens just led

The Shopjimmy LEDs do not mention voltage, size and current but look correct, the vendor may give you details. Anyway, you don't need the lenses as they usually do not break when removing. Here are the LEDs I use : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/100PC...484083505.html
Their color temperature, light flux value, voltage and current are just perfect fit. You just need to wait a bit more for receiving them ! As a complementary information, the hot air gun I use to unsolder the LEDs is just a standard painting remover gun to which I added a home made nozzle to reduce air flow size. Not necessarily an expensive hot air soldering station. Just be carefull not to overheat the PCB.

Re: LG 42LB5600-UZ sound but no backlight

Thanks for the info. I've ordered replacement LEDs, an LED rework station, and an LED backlight tester. I know it sounds a little excessive, but it will pay for itself if I can fix this tv.

Great, let us know when you'll be finished.
For testing the LED's one by one, I use an analog multimeter with a 3V and 9V internal batteries that is able to illuminate an LED in ohmmeter X1 position. If you use a tester on an entire strip, you may see a full black strip for only one single failing LED (open circuit) while in other cases a failing LED will be acting like a resistor or a diode then you can see the ones to be changed.

I just installed the new LEDs and the TV works perfectly. Thanks for the help. Also, the LEDs I provided a link for above were the wrong size so I ordered the 3528's and they work great.

Hi Ifixstuff9, Thanks for the update, I am glad you fixed it for just a small cost compared to buying LED Strips.
I hope this will help convince people to try this kind of inexpensive fix as it is not much difficult to achieve.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                            Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. [SOLVED] M1 MacBook Pro clicking sound logic board 5V no power on A2338 820-02020
                            by slimmy182
Hello, I bought this Mac from a friend, he said that it simply stop working. The MacBook looks very clean but does not power on, stuck on 5v 0.42A, and sometimes display 5V and 0A (then 0.071A and again 0A).

I opened it looking for some problem, it was not touched before for sure and the board is very clena, no spot of corrosion at all from what I can see. Voltage on multimeter of the board off the case it's the same, 5V 0.42A. But then I noticed this "clicking sound" come from the board ( I attached here the audio file).

Looking on google I found this:...
