Good day folks. Hopefully someone can provide a bit of help on this Hisense TV I got. The problem is as follows: the red LED on the front comes on red when you plug in the TV, but it doesn't respond to the keys on the side. The only way to turn it on is via the remote and even then there's nothing coming up on screen, despite the LED turning blue and the backlight flashing a few times. I'm pretty sure it's a firmware issue. The board is a T.MSD309.BA6S and I couldn't find too much about it. I did find some dumps for other T.MSD boards used in other brands like Blaupunkt, but not this exact one. The TV doesn't work anyway, so feel free to suggest stuff even though it may not work. Hopefully someone has this board on another brand and can help. Cheers.

Re: Hisense LHD32A300 not turning on (need EEPROM help)
No I have not. What I did try was rather silly: pulled it out, erased it and put it back in, hoping it would be the same as a Samsung, but no - of course not. Now the LED stays blue all the time and that's it. No worries though, as I DID back up the original EEPROM of course, so it's just a matter of writing it back. However, given that a blank EEPROM did not solve anything, I doubt freezing it will do any better, since isn't that the equivalent of removing the chip or having a blank one on there ? Feel free to correct me...I believe Reecey (hope I spelled his name right) has worked with low quality boards enough to set me straight on this. Cheers.

Well you would have to write it back for freezing to work, but if you read it without it working I doubt if freezing would work. If it was corrupted and you could make it work by freezing then the only way you could get a good read would be removing freezing and then readingI assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old... -
by NYKingThe TV initially had a steady (not flashing) red standby light but did not turn on when power button was pressed. I tried all the usual “fixes” but nothing worked. TV would not turn on. After researching the issue, I concluded the cause was a bad EEPROM chip. I ordered the appropriate chip from ShopJimmy:

I took off the old chip using my hot air station and soldered on the new chip. I tested... -
by frannyjunkThese Hisense H8G series (or Q8G if you are in Canada) tv appears to have a common failure of the main board. Many posts on Reddit without a solution. Mine is a 55" tv hence the 55H8G model (TV comes in 50, 55, 65 and 75". Corresponding models are 50H8G, 55H8G, 65H8G and 75H8G). Symptom is that the tv will not turn on, only a slow blinking white LED near the on button on the tv. Has anyone found a repair for the main board? I can buy a replacement main board, but would prefer to repair my main board. Thanks.05-17-2023, 10:31 AM

by dmccul2698Hello, My head unit developed strange behaviors so I ran the built-in diagnostic package which returned "No EEProm". The service manual says there is no EEProm connected. I approached Pioneer and they said to swap out the DSP board. All said and good but the DSP board is $860 USD. I am hoping someone can help me
1). Understand the schematic and check the connections between the EEProm and DSP
2). Check the functionality of the EEProm
I don't know if this is the unit's problem but it's a place to start.
