    HP PL5060N Lines On Screen

Ok, I have been messing with this off and on for awhile. When I first got this tv it would not turn on.

I replaced the top IPM on the YSUS board, and a blown fet on the bottom Y Driver board. When I first powered it on everthing was fine. After a couple of minutes vertical lines appeared on the screen. The number of lines changes. Sometimes there are 4, then 6, then 8, then 5, etc. The lines kinda flicker. In the pic below there are 5 lines. Next time I fire it up there may be 4 lines, or 8 lines.

I have checked all the voltages, and they are good. I cleaned all the connections. Cleaned all the ribbon cables that run from board to board. Cleaned all the ribbon cables on the XL, XC, and XR boards. Used freeze spray on just about everything on every board, and heated just about everything on every board with a hair dryer.

I am now at a loss of what it could be. Any suggestions?
If you need better pics of any of the boards, let me know, and I will get them.
    Thanks for any help.

Ok, I did some more checking and found that two of the TCP IC's are running hot right where the lines are.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

      Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

TCL 55S425 few horizontal lines, potential failure on both side of panel/buffer board
      by howardc64
All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
      • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
      • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 Screen Connector
      by TheDando
Hey guys I've got a MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 with a broken screen connector on the motherboard.I was wondering how I would go about finding a exact replacement for it.I can't seem to find any schematics that would help me so I'm kinda stumped.I did buy a screen connector that I thought was close enough but it doesn't really invoke much confidence in me that it works perfectly as plugging the screen into sometimes does output a "glitchy" image for just a few seconds. So now I'm kinda in a cross road where I'm pretty sure it could be a faulty screen but I...

Samsung UN65js8500F, no sound, blank screen and T-Con board with one LED on
      by mrtek
Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...
