As shown in the picture I am experiencing a vertical bar on the right side. I have replaced the buffer board (TNPA5327) and experience the same problem. I have cleaned the connecting ribbon cables and no changes. The ribbon cables do not look torn in any way. Can anyone advise where to check next? I'm pulling my hair out on this one.

Re: Panasonic vertical lines TCP65ST30
Well i think it is either cable that is going from motherboard to the buffer (but since you already cleaned it it should be excluded), or most probably dying mainboard.
I think it is not the panel itself.
But, it is up to you will you gamble with new mainboard or not -
Re: Panasonic vertical lines TCP65ST30
next step would be to go into service menu, perform horizontal flip and if the pink band went to left side, mainboard.
Check all board bolts especially sc and ss for security, chances are they'll be loose. if you have not had the SC board blow yet.Comment

Re: Panasonic vertical lines TCP65ST30
This is a mainboard fault because it's still showing the picture. Apply some pressure on the heatsink and you will see it flicker/go away.
Just bad BGA solder.I only repair Panasonic plasma tv's! Currently owning a TX-P55VT50 and still searching for a ZT60!Comment

Re: Panasonic vertical lines TCP65ST30
Well the main board I ordered was dead so I put back the old main board but there is no heatsinks that I see. I did flip the image in the settings but the band stayed at the same position on the TV. Anything else I should try?Comment

Re: Panasonic vertical lines TCP65ST30
if the discoloured section did not move with the screen image rotated, then it is not the main board at fault. :/WHY CAN'T PHILIPS USE PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWS?Comment

by Stanley1843Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesnβt display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

by gpo23Hello,
i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :
With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :
I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)
Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?
Thank you for your help

by lupinIIIHello everyone, I've been browsing this forum but I didn't find similar vertical lines like this on Panasonic Plasmas
So they are not all over the screen but there's lines on both halves of the screen. The lines are also present with no signal, at least some of them but I can't distinguish all of them with no input. With no input the vertical lines on the right side are definitely more visible.
It started with one line half a year ago, then two and has been increasing the number of lines.
Where or what could be the problem? What steps should I take?...01-12-2020, 08:20 PM -
by viking509I recently replaced the led backlights with LB65041 LED Backlight Strips and after putting it back together the backlights work but there are only colored vertical lines only in the center of the tv. I can see the Netflix logo (jumbled) after a minute or less the screen went dark. When I turned it on again the lines were back. Then I replaced the t-con board but the same vertical lines in the picture. My question is what is my next step? Could it be a source tab bond issue? A buffer board issue? Could I have loosened a connection to the panel when replacing the backlights? Should I replace the...

by rfxcaseyI have an Siemens HMI with vertical lines on half of the screen. These lines aren't scrambled garbage but rather very regular in pattern and color. I have replaced the LCD with a new one and still the problem persists. I'm wondering if this isn't indicative of a bad video process chip or video memory? Any help would be appreciated. The cable appears to be OK but one pin on the header is unpopulated, though there isn't any loose wire to suggest one broke off or popped out of the connector. In the picture below where the connector is busted out of the side, I did that with my small screw driver...
