LG 55LV9500 LED TV Black Screen

I have a LG 55lv9500 TV. Once the TV powers on the screen remains black continuously (as if it never turns on). I can tell the TV powered on due to the status lights displaying on the front panel. Prior to failure the TV used to display the LG splash screen and the time first. It doesn't make it that far at this point.

I tried the flash light test, I was unable to see the menu or anything on the screen. I am unable to display content from any of the inputs. I don't have sound. Upon removing the back cover I do not see the led lights. It feels like the t-con, main board, or LEDs based on my limited 1 day of research. What are your thoughts to further isolate the issue?

Can you supply sharp focused pictures of your circuit boards.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Take out the main board. Remove the 4 spring loaded hold down studs. Use a heat gun with the smallest nozzle it has. Turn it on LOW so you dont blow things off the board. Remove the slimy rubber heat sink thing on top of the cpu chip and heat the whole chip up for about 45 seconds. Let cool, put heatsinks back on, install board, and enjoy the now working tv.

@TVTimmy - just to confirm I'm remove the board in the final picture. The black rectangle is the heat sink with the 4 silver screws. Heat the cpu chip for 45, cool, and reattach? I'm intrigued.

Yes. I have done this to 8 lg tvs,all came back to life. You can put some heatsink compound on the bga chip and the rubber heatsink to help cool it. Those studs have to be pinched on the bottom side and pulled out.

TvTimmy: You can add a 9th to the list. I appears I'm back in business. Thanks so much for your help. Quick question - I didn't do a great job documenting the breakdown and screw schematics so I'm trying to piece the cover back together. The power cord is giving me trouble - it kinks or when positioned in another way bows the outside cover. I can't see to get it to lay correctly. Any advice?

If I remember correctly, the cord fits into the cover plate and then a screw goes through. And holds everything together. The cord hole must line up, if not, rotate a 1/4 turn.
Send a pic if Im wrong.

Thanks again, please see the attached. It is as if they didn't make the plastic coating short enough. If placed directly down it is about a 1/4" too long and the screw won't catch. I'm half tempted to put the bare cord thru the slot rather than the cord adapter.

Additionally if you have any guidance on the screw replacements I'll take it. I have 4 different size screws remaining (not counting the power cord screw) 3 really small, 14 medium, 5 large, 2 xtra large. The large and extra large are the same gauge but different lengths. It appears the really small and medium are the same gauge but also different lengths. Meanwhile the hols looks the same.

The square part of the cord goes in the molded slits in the cover. When it is correct the hole in the tab will line up with the cover and the mounting hole.

Sorry if I being thick headed. Please see the attached. It is turned at 90 degree but as you can see the slot doesn't align to allow the screw hole on the tab to align to the cover screw hole. Am I thinking about this correctly?

Filp the cover around. Try untill the hole lines up. Work all combinations of it, you will get it. By the way, the cord comes out of towards the bottom of the tv.

                            Hello,

YouTube video of the problem encountered: https://youtube.com/shorts/q7TLNv36LUo

I am a pro and I have a problem that I have never seen despite my 7.5 years of experience on my own and my thousands of repairs, on a customer's Dell G3 15 3500.

On this PC I have already changed the complete palmrest because the keyboard was no longer working properly.

I also changed the screen because the PC fell and the screen was broken.

I changed the battery with a new and original battery.

I also had corrosion/oxidation on the...

Sony XBR-75X950G seems dead with a black screen but backlight and sound is working and no blinking red lights

I have a 2019 75" x950g, and while playing a movie, the screen suddenly went dark in a weird way, where it faded towards one corner into being fully black. Now the TV turns on, and the backlight comes on, but there is nothing displayed except black. Sound still comes through the TV speakers, and i have tried doing a hard reset using the volume - and power buttons while plugging the display back in, but it did not fix it. I can confirm that pressing buttons on my remote is still doing "something" because I'm hearing sound still, even though the screen is black.

                            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

                            Hi everyone,
I have this strange behaviour with Acer Aspire E5-574-52RH, i5 6200U, intel graphics, DA0ZRWMB6G0 Rev G, model ZRW.
Laptop came in for a SSD upgrade, took everything apart to install the SSD.
Everything started after modifying BIOS settings to boot UEFI instead of Legacy.
Laptop works fine, i installed windows 10 and drivers/updates, everything works ok(when it works)
The black screen problem is random, maybe 5 out 10 times, laptop remains with the black screen, no image

                            Symptoms are:

Hello, I'm working on a new deskmod pc project and have a problem with my monitor, an AOC U34G3XM, well, I may have bricked it.

The monitor was dismanteled and the separate parts parts integrated in the desk. the screen panel alone is on the upper part, and main board/video board + power board on the back of the desk (not enough place on the cover to fit it)
At first everything was working smoothly, then I decided to change the connexion between the video board and the screen for a longer one. Still working fine

During another reassembly, I made a mistake, and...
