Re: Samsung TV LE32M87BD image issue, turns off by itself, works perfectly after warm
Nothing, I replaced them but same result about image and rebooting.
Mmmm, if you could show me which ones are the voltage regulators because I don't know, let me google it up
The brown cap was under the shield, could I remove the shield with the tv on? Because there are cooling square "things" xD on top of two chips or whatever those areComment

Some more info if it helps:
- In DTV source, no image and rebooting.
- In EXT 1 (RGB) perfect image and rebooting.
- In EXT 2 (AV) image pumping the colors like in the first video and rebooting.Comment

And also, after rebooting several times, tv kept working on EXT 1 (RGB), then I tried to change it to DTV but screen was black like in the videos, and then began the rebooting cycle.Comment

Need to check main cap with probes across pos and neg of cap. Caution several hundred voltes DCVI assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

Shit, sorry, I had the probes connected to check capacity of a former measure. Let me check again.
My meter is to 750 ACV/ 1000 DCV max. Could he die? xDLast edited by Leplus; 04-20-2017, 10:46 AM.Comment

Re: Samsung TV LE32M87BD image issue, turns off by itself, works perfectly after warm
Is that cap in yellow bulged? Is it one you replaced? You mean, in the picture I'm attaching now, to change the brown and the one in the red square right?
The one in yellow should leave it there right? Just to confirm.
And just curiosity, how do you know what to change or not? is there a repair service manual or something?
And another thing, is it risky for the tv to change the brown cap for another with less capacity or it would only affect to the funcionality? I'll try to look for the diagrams and check its value but i'm down for the change anyway heheI assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

Re: Samsung TV LE32M87BD image issue, turns off by itself, works perfectly after warm
No, it looks ok, seems like its bulged like the other in red, but both look ok, there are no caps apparently bad in the tv. And nope, I only changed the one in red and the brown cylindric next to it.Comment

Well looking at them isn't only test. Would need to check esr on them. Short of actually testing them is replacing them.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

by KjellAfter installing Linux, I can no longer enter the BIOS of my Samsung Series 9 (NP900X3C) laptop. When pressing [F2] during boot I simply get a black screen. Same thing when pressing [F10] and choosing "Setup" from the "App Menu" tab. Apparently this is a relatively common issue with Samsung laptops of that generation, but unfortunately i haven't been able to resolve the issue (yet).
Things i've tried so far; reinstalled Windows 10, checked for redundant boot entries, tried to factory reset using the emergency keyhole, attempted to clear the NVRAM by physically...08-01-2025, 09:15 AM -

by MireniaHi everyone,
got an Acer Helios 500 Laptop (PH517-51) for diagnosing with a strange issue:
The laptop runs for a while (1-2 hours, sometimes less) and then suddenly shuts completely off, like someone pulled the power cord and restarts immediately after on its own.
If this happened once, then the laptop only runs for a few minutes until restart.
This happens regardless while staying in windows or uefi or in a linux environment.
At first I thought of a normal overheating issue, but as I monitored temps with HWInfo64, nothing seems very hot.

by NairolfHello,
I have a Samsung DM32D display.
When I try to power it on, the red LED blinks 5 times and nothing happens—the unit won’t start.
Here’s what I have tried so far:- Disconnected the cable between the mainboard and the power supply → the backlight turns on.
- Disconnected the main T-CON ribbon cable → same issue as before, the LED still blinks 5 times.
- Disconnected one of the two T-CON ribbons to the panel (tested each one separately) → same issue, the LED blinks 5 times.
From these tests, I suspect the problem might be on the mainboard. Could anyone...3 Photos08-24-2025, 03:47 AM -
by vincentedelHello,
I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.
I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...-
