50"+ TV Safe Matrix removal ! How ?

So my 50" tv has no backlight, but operate normally and flashlight test - OK
Tried to find local TV service, and all afraid of braking TV matrix since it's bigger
    that 40".
    Question:

    - what the best/safe/secure way to remove and then place back this
delicate part of TV without braking and leaving marks ?

    Thanks.

Have an area set aside for the panel and diffusers to be placed carefully and if necessary cover to keep dust off. Remember the order things go back.

You can wear latex gloves to minimise finger grease.

Have two people to remove the panel. Do not flex.

shopjimmy have a video on removing a large panel on Youtube if you search

I've never lifted a 50" panel so this is only what I have read / viewed
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

some people also mention about using thick paper slid under the lcd panel then two people hold the paper and lift the panel up like a stretcher to spread the load i guess

i have done 47", hands at equal distance along top of screen and lift to stand on the frame, as if it was on a hinge, then slide hands around to sides and pick it up, replace the same way.

Most important. I just did one and almost made the mistake. Make sure panel goes back in frame seated all the way around. Especially at corners. Do not force it in. Shift panel around till all parts of panel seat at bottom of frame.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Why and how the fuck are a tv shop scared of doing a job, I repair them from my moms fucking bed room and not cracked one yet lol its easy just pinch the panel between your fingers when youve lifted it from the frame and set it down. Also I tape the tab boards to it as well to keep them out the way.

I lean the TV against the wall and tilt it forward until the loosened panel starts to fall forward. Using COTTON gloves, lift the panel away from the frame and store it leaning against the wall vertically. Do NOT try to lift the panel with the TV flat - the panels aren't strong enough to support themselves from the edges - I learned that lesson the hard way.

I have two pair of double cup suction grippers, but I haven't had the nerve to try them with a flat panel.

I had a thought about using SuckGrippers, but afraid it will suck in and brake
                the thin LCD.
Is 1mm LCD is hard enough to stand Vertically by itself ?

                    I have an idea:

                    - when tv laying on the back and stripped to the lcd screen i
put 35" board and then tape it to the screen around borders.
                    - It should give solid non-bending surface and some grip for the hands.
                    - after fixing led i would just safely remove the tape and clean it.

                    Will this work ?

Yes... I've successfully done quite a few with this method.

The front surface has a thin film polarization filter on it. The tape may damage it.

I've used a pair of 4-head vacuum grip the kind they use for moving sheets of glass on a50" with success. My Buddy had to help me as it was a2 man job. I bought these from Northern Tool for 20.00, especially for this job. It was a good investment.

Nice, and how was it felt:

                            - like usual safe work with a thing glass or
                            - lcd could crack at any point

I wonder about the suction in the heads - isn't too much ?

I took a chance and was successful. It will work for you too, as I feel the manufacturers of these suction vacuum tools must have considered very thin glass as well. The vacuum attachment of effortless on the glass.

                                    - I bought 2 of these Grip4s I would be using these to lift LCD screens off the panels to repair failed backlights. Some screens as big as 80ins. Did a 32in repair, lifting with 1 puller only. IT WORKS REALLY GREAT!! Thank you for this wonderful tool. I will definitely buy again from you.

                                        Hi there,

This is my first post. I just wanted to come here to get a clear answer from some people about MDM removal on the 16 inch 2019 A2141 MBP & 15 inch 2018 MBP A1990. I have seen a lot of things on MDM removal, and wanted to know exactly what is needed to remove it, and what the best option is in 2024 when running Sonoma.

I know that Checkm8 have an MDM removal service now, that seems to be a permanent removal. I also have heard you can remove the T2 ROM and use a programmer to read the data and change the serial number. Im not 100 percent sure if this is a...

                                        Hello,

I have a CFI-1215A PS5 (EDM-030 board) here that won't boot normally. It currently will immediately boot into Safe Mode upon power button press with a screen that says "Processing" and then a progress bar that usually begins around 75-84% and slowly climbs up to 99% where it will hang forever. The console will not ever escape past the 99% mark.

                                        Things I have tried:

                                        1. Tried force booting into Safe Mode by pressing and holding power button for 2 beeps so I could use a reinstallation USB, but the console still boots into Safe Mode with the...

                                        Would this be safe?

I am trying to fix a broken plasma TV by replacing a large cap on the power board. It is a 1900uf 220v cap and I could only find one place that sells them. It was listed as through hole, so I bought it. It showed up today, but instead of through hole, it has spade connectors.

Would it be safe to get some heavy duty wire (like lamp cord wire), connect that to spade connectors, connect them to the spades on the cap, and run the other ends of the wire 2-3 inches to the holes and then through the holes and solder them in place? I actually did it already and put it together but...

Hi all, I'm new here, a few words about myself: CS student, interested in hardware stuff too - tinkering my whole life but with practically no experience when it comes to firmware "hacking".

So I have this X380 Yoga with a supervisor password in place and before doing anything stupid I figured I'd rather ask.
I plan on using the tool from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...password-remov...

                                        Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....
