Got a small 19" vizio that does not power on and no power indication. voltages on 5.2v is 5v and 16v is 19v. had plugged into my watt meter and says it is drawing 12 watts. if i unplug the connector to the main board the power drops to less than half a watt and voltage on 5.2v is 5.5v and on 16v is 15v. led 42v has same as 16v readings.
i smelled heat coming from the board and found what looks to be an smd diode? d501. and the ic next to it, u502 was very hot. on the backside you can see the heat mark. looking like my only solution here is to buy a new main board but i want to confirm.
if so i'll strip the leds for a project seeing as how the main board might be worth more than the tv (googling now).
