Insignia NS-32L430A11 Turns off After about 35 Seconds

Then I have to either unplug it, or press the power button again,
to get the red "Stand by" LED to turn back on.

Then I can turn it on again, but it will turn off again after about 35 seconds.

There doesn't seem to be any sound either.

The top half of the picture is darker, and after doing a google search, I found someone had the same problem:

    http://electronics.forumsee.com/a/m/...-problems.html

They mentioned that transformer T401 was burned on the Backlight Inverter / Power Supply , so I checked mine, and sure enough, it was charred a bit too.

Should I take a chance with the Shopjimmy repair kit? Or should I just sell the main board, the stand, and the LCD screen on Ebay?

As you all know, you can go through plenty of work, and STILL not have a working TV!!

    Any advice appreciated!

Ok, so T401 is part # 8TC00569-01GP, which is a hard part to find.

The closest I found was this one:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/261115290859...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

    Which is a 8TC00564.

Do you think it might still work? What is the difference
between the parts? Is the turns ratio the same, or close enough?

If the top half of the picture is darker then you may well have CCFL tube or CCFL connection problems and not transformer problem.
Can you bring on the backlights with the mainboard disconnected?

Well, the transformer is definitely burned out, but I have indeed
read that as the CCFL tubes age, they can have less resistance, and
draw more current, and lead to overheated or blownout transformers.

The TV cannot be turned on with the mainboard disconnected.

Even the standby LED doesn't turn on in that case.

I'm thinking I might pass on this one, and sell the mainboard on Ebay!

With the mainboard disconnected, if you connect 5Vstb to PS_ON using a 1K resistor and 5V to BL_ON using another 1K resistors will they come on then?

          Edit,
If you are certain that the transformer is burnt out then there's no point doing the above.

Yes, I have done that trick before, but the transformer is definitely
blown..... it is charred and blackened....

I think this one is another Ebay special!

Insignia NS-LCD019-09 issue: Power light turns blue for 3 seconds, the flashes red before going solid read again
              by cajoeg
Hello, I'm new to the group and to trying to repair a LCD TV. During the past few years, I've been collecting/repairing/restoring vintage personal computers (Commodore, Apple II, Atari, TRS-80, Texas Instruments, and Timex Sinclair). This has been my retirement hobby. Now I've gotten interested in trying to repair a LCD TV that I have and used regularly when working on vintage computers.

The LCD I'm working on is a Insignia NS-LCD019. I've downloaded the service manual that I could find, but it must be a different revision since not too many items in the service manual match the TV...

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
              by zklgfs
              Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...

Lenovo Legion 5 high fan spin turns off after 34 seconds
              by twonk9098
              Hi all,

I have a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 7 series CPU and RTX 3070 GPU. My issue is that it turns on and all seems fine except after a few seconds the fans spin up high and the laptop turns off after 34 seconds.
I can get into bios and can even boot and login to Windows however after 34 seconds no matter if Im at the bios screen or booted into Windows it will just turn off.

I have managed to run HWmonitor and the temperatures of the CPU and GPU are fine, I can also touch the heatsync which is warm but not hot.

I have tried a few new bios but exactly...

LG 23MP55HQ LED Monitor turns off after a few seconds or flickers.
              by Rick_1234
              Good evening, gentlemen.

I have a problem with my monitor. It turns off after a few seconds or flickers. Shining a flashlight on the screen doesn't show any image, so I guess it's not the "2 seconds to dark" I read in the forum.

To turn it back on, I have to press the power button twice. Then after a few seconds it turns off again or flickers. See video.

              Hello everyone,
I need help with my Lenovo Legion laptop. It turns on for a few seconds and then immediately shuts down. I believe this is a BIOS corruption issue.
              Laptop Model:
              • Model: Lenovo Legion Slim 5 16APH8
              • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
              • Main BIOS chip size: 32MB
              • VBIOS chip size: 16MB
Problem Description: The laptop was working perfectly. Now, when I press the power button, the keyboard lights up and the laptop powers on for just a few seconds, then it shuts itself off completely. After researching, I am convinced it's a corrupt BIOS.
