Hey folks,
Haven't had a project in a long time. Kinda rusty at diagnosing. Got the aforementioned Samsung off the side of the road. Screen appears uncracked and fine. Plugged it in, hear a relay click, red LED indicator comes on, stays on. Button presses do nothing.
Unfortunately, all my tools were stolen, all I have right now is a crappy $3 multimeter. Here's what I've done. I pulled the back, and tested the outputs from the power supply to the main. Both A5V show 5V in standby. All six B13V show 13V in standby. PS ON/OFF shows 3ishV. Nothing seems to change when the on button is pressed.
No obvious puffy caps or burnt components on main or power. Nothing causes the red LED to change
Soooooo, whaddya think? Seems like a main issue to me, but I'm rusty, like I said. I want it to be a power board issue, cause its cheaper, but I don't think it is. Tell me I'm wrong. If you guys think it'll help, I'll post pics.
Thanks!
Alex
