    KDL-46BX450 Backlight?

    Here are my pictures and voltage readings. I get a brief "SONY" logo and then pic goes black. It doesn't seem to pass the flashlight test but I'm wondering about that as I'm using my phone and the light might not be bright enough.

    I'm thinking I have a bad backlight as there is voltage on BL-ERR but not sure how much voltage is needed to trigger the protection circuit.

      T300 1176
      1333

      I'm assuming transistor T300 is bad.

          Yes the transformer could be bad, I did'nt see pictures of the inverter so I was going to suggest checking it also.

              Can't seem to find these. I did find a "NEW REPLACEMENT" which has wires soldered to contacts that go to the CCFLs. What do you think of this:

                  So should this with the power supply in the on condition pass a backlight test?

                      I've an n15w4 with a very strange problem.
                      I received the laptop after a failed bios update, so I downloaded the bios from Acer website, then after extracted the bios from installation package (with correct size, I extracted it from bios.bin file)

                      I reprogrammed the eeprom (after make a backup anyway), now the laptop start (the bios have a fake serial number and fake device name.. something like 123456789012 and acer_xxxx but it's work)

                      Hi everyone,

                      I have a Sony bravia kdl 46nx700. It turns on, but the screen is awfully dim.
                      Things I have tried:
                      Went into settings and increased the brightness and contrast. Screen did not change at all.
                      Went into settings and made sure any auto brightness settings and limit is turned off. Did not see any difference again even after playing with brightness and contrast.
                      Did a factory reset. Again no change. Then repeated the steps above. No change.
                      At this point I think with myself that this is a hardware problem. Since my tv does not have any...

                      I have a Sony XBR-65X850E that won't power on, and has no status lights.

                      Immediately upon plugging in the TV, it tries to power up (before pressing anything). I can tell because after plugging the TV in, the main transformer on the power board begins buzzing, 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off, and it does this exactly 7 times before the TV goes back to an “OFF” state.                       I searched the forum first, but could not locate anything with this model Sony TV.

                      There's good AC power going into power supply board. There is no standby light lit on the TV / no picture / no sound using either remote control OR power button on TV. I'm new at troubleshooting TV's, so here are the measurements I took. I am leaning toward thinking it's a main board issue, but wanted to see what others with experience thought. Anything I can go further test to help isolate the issue?
