    Vizio XVT423SV

I have just installed a Main board, and it cured the sound problem. On this set you have to pair the remote to the set. I cannot get to the menu to reset to factory defaults. I have another Vizio remote and a programable remote, but menu sends me to the internet apps. Anyone have any ideas? maybe a jumper??

      1) Disconnect from AC, wait 2-3 minutes. Less if you disconnect main from power where DC is held by caps longer.
Hold down the rocker (power on) and connect the AC; wait until you see the "V" on the screen then release.
This, to the best of my knowledge, is factory reset settings for the family.
(you can also try it from the config menu, but as I understand this is better)

      2) You can just replace the whole EEPROM on the main and all settings will get replaced along with it.

On a side note if you do not need your old main board we'd be interested in buying and fixing it.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video
          by JaquesPratt
I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

DeLonghi AC Remote only accepts 3V
          by cstout
Hello all, I've been looking into this portable air conditioner's remote control and can't find what could be causing the problem - or possibly this remote is just terribly designed.

The remote only works at exactly 3V - if I drop it any lower, using my bench power supply, to say, 2.9V then the remote will not flash the display and turn off. I don't have any AAA batteries that are exactly 1.5V each so I'm not sure if this remote is designed this way - to only use the freshest possible batteries, or if there's a failed component in the mix.

          I can't find any schematics...
