    42"Fluid plasma tv Mod#(Samsung)pn50b550t2f

the problem,,,if I turn off the tv using the remote it will not come back on, screen stays black, blue power light is on and a couple of quick white flashes on the screen almost too fast to be noted. what I have to do to get it working again is to unplug it from wall, wait for about 5 min. then plug it back in and try turning it on with the remote. Sometines I have to do this 5 or 6 times to get it to come back on. when I plug it in I hear the 2 relays on the board click but if I don't hear another click followed by a quick whoop as the HV building up I know I'll have to try again.I ended up leaving it on 24-7 but the electricity cost was too much. So I bought a used 50" LG plasma, works great but I still want to see if I can get this oldie working.
Sorry for the long tale of woe, longest e-mail I've ever sent. Hope you can help me out.
PS. I forgot to mention that when I plug the tv back in the red power light comes on (standby) then I hit the remote power button and the relays click and the blue light comes on and the remote does nothing to the tv (e.g.turn it off) nor will the power button on the tv. Don't know if this helps.

Get the back off it, take some good pictures of the front and back of the boards for group inspection.

Here is a thread relating to this model > https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=38739

Sorry, new to the forum so I didn't know how far I'd have to get into it (I'm a retired Auto Tech ) and only know enough to be dangerous, but I have a good fluke meter and a willingness to learn. First I have to get gas for the snow blower and clean 2 double wide driveways so it may be awhile before I get to it.
        Thanks for the replys.

Here are some pic's of the boards,I've removed the cover from the left X? board and the I/O board, I think the logic/control is the 1 that's underneath it.

I'm going to try to get the voltages listed on the sticker.

Here are the voltages as read from the ps board and sticker values.
            Va-54, actual=54,Vs-207,actual=206,Vso-190,actual=191, Ve-95, actual=15 x
It looks like Ve is the problem but I don't know how to fix it..

Ok seems there is a problem on the Xmain as Ve only 15v. Have you tested the pcb for short circuits L

OOPS! My bad, read Vg as Ve as it was upside down, rechecked and readings are correct. Now should I be looking for bad solder joints? cracks?, all caps look good, but??

Lol vg is 15v so Ve is good at 94v or so ? If so as Vs is good as well does the screen light up grey in a dark room ?

Yes Ve is 94V. Haven't noticed any change in screen color.
What I find strange is that it would come on sometimes after being unpluged for 5-10 min but not if unpluged for a long time. Haven't had it come on now but haven't tried very hard.

No, I saw on the net it being done on a different tv but don't know how to do it to this one. I guess I would need a step by step instruction as much as I hate being spoon fed, my 76 year old brain ain't as sharp as it was.
