Nine bulging and leaking caps. Tricky to release the frame facia but otherwise a regular task. I reported it here:

Disturbing to read that so many TFT TVs are failing after ~1yr due to bad caps. Not always easy to access the panels and repairs can be extremely time consuming; probably well beyond the skills of casual diy-ers.

But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
