    LG 42LC3R-zh

    Hi Guys,
A friend of mine just gave me one of the above to have a look at.
The screen randomly has all coloured lines running through it but if you turn it off and back on it is fine again for awhile.
When this happens I tried to switch the source from hdmi to tv and when the snow appears the lines go.
Then when I switch back to hdmi you can see the faint lines but after a few minutes they disappear and it is fine again.
Would this be Tcon or main board problem or panel.
    Thanks in advance.

when you switched from HDMI to TV or any at the TV, did you used the remote or pressing on the TV control panel ?

also when this fault show to you try to click on the TV side or up and down smoothly to see if the lines disappear.. if this happen then you have Tab bound . here over the forum many user did video how to fix it.

sorry for the bad typing . with hand hits the TV side smoothly or with finger push the front down forward the screen. if the coloured line changed or disappear.

                No joy with that!!!
                Something else I noticed:
I have my laptop connected to the tv via hdmi, when the screen goes white with the coloured lines if I disconnect the hdmi and reconnect the tv displays as normal!!
Surely it would not be a tab bond issue if it does this???

Tap the mainboard around the HDMI sockets to see if there's a poor connection such as the shield being poorly soldered. Also check all the screw holding down the mainboard are firmly in place and not loose.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Could be bga solder issue on the cpu, or even bad solder joints on the hdmi ports.

I think it maybe the hdmi ports as moving the connection up and down brings the picture back.
                      Now can these be resoldered???

Yes use flux on the pins, and touch them with a timed iron or you could flux the pins and use hot air and reflow it that way.

Xiaomi L55M5-5ASP fine lines on the panel uniform
                              by Raulnn
Good afternoon! Does anyone know how to remove these lines? They are very fine lines at the bottom of the panel. I have 2 identical panels, and I have even thought that this brand has this lattice format, although I highly doubt it.

The photo from the YouTube app is where it is best seen.

                              thanks in advance....

                              Hello everyone.

Got a catalyst 2960 from the usual scrapyard - ebay.
It is stuck in bootloop and the power supply is missing the 3.3v rail. (+12V, -53V, +3.3V)
Some green moisture crystallization on mainboard, which cleared very well with IPA and visually there is nothing rusted or gone.
Still working on the PSU to get the 3.3v rail back (waiting for parts), but for now I'm using an external buck converter board hooked up to the 12V rail ( by the way, the switch seems to be working with only 12V ).

The switch fails to boot due to the following POST error:...

                              Micro Momentary Push Switch?
                              by Natob82
Great to be here! I'm a newbie here trying to find a "micro", momentary push switch to repair a Sony "clamshell" video walkman. This micro switch has long since discontinued by Sony, however I hope there are third-party switches of the same size and functionality that I might be able to source to play the same role. The purpose of this switch is to tell the video walkman that the user has activated the mechanical tape eject button, turning that physical action into an electronic signal that tells the tape transport mechanism to open so one can load or eject a video tape. I...
