Re: md301b MAGNAVOX LCD controls dont work no remote
after further diagnostic I took my multimeter checking to see if voltages would change when button was depressed . I seen decreases in voltage meaning buttons were functioning. So I decided to screw with the dvd player some more dvd spit out and I noticed for split second again the buttons worked as I was power up. So I remember reading the service manual . It said you should be able to get a manaul eject. so i pushed the mechanism and got it to fully extend as it should . Now all buttons work and I switch inputs menu sound up/down all ok everything power button ok menu ok . I checked to see if problem would come back it has not tv performing perfectly . This happened with dvd fully extends out the disc tray. Im think it changes the output voltage to the board when it extends out. And it was waiting for the voltage . Its like the computer in my car they set code in a car though like output voltage does on tv but no code. INPUT AND output voltages have to be set a certain way. That tray extended made tv buttons work flawlessly.Last edited by Packard93; 11-20-2016, 02:48 AM.Comment

by Natob82Great to be here! I'm a newbie here trying to find a "micro", momentary push switch to repair a Sony "clamshell" video walkman. This micro switch has long since discontinued by Sony, however I hope there are third-party switches of the same size and functionality that I might be able to source to play the same role. The purpose of this switch is to tell the video walkman that the user has activated the mechanical tape eject button, turning that physical action into an electronic signal that tells the tape transport mechanism to open so one can load or eject a video tape. I...

by grimacelordHello,
I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.
I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.
I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need.... -
by SluggerBI have a very small float switch, I'm using in a very small tank. It only fits in one way. Link https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Switch.../dp/B07DZ1J2GB
I want the switch to be open when the water is high, and closed when the water is low. Unfortunately it works the opposite. And since this switch is designed to be underwater, it's all sealed up, there is no taking it apart or hacking it up.
It will be driving a water pump, basic idea, when the water is low, switch closes, which turns on water pump, when enough water is in the tank, float switch floats,... -
by DannyxGood day folks.
TL;DR: has anyone tried pairing one of THESE "kinetic" battery-less switches with THESE generic remote modules ?
Details: I recently got hit by this craze of wanting to add remote controls to the lights around my house, so I went with those generic 433Mhz remote relay modules found everywhere, which are really basic, easy to use and work well, since I used them before in other projects. What I like most about them is they accept all kinds of 433Mhz remotes that float around Aliexpress, since they're all the same under the hood, save for the...03-08-2022, 11:01 AM - Loading...
