I am wary of doing that , as I may damage the lcd beyond repair by dismantling everything. It may be worth doing though.
Take your time stripping it down. There's lots of Youtube video's on how to. Also do not mix up the order of the diffuser sheets when you lift them out from behind the LCD panel so that they go back in the correct order. A few people have made this mistake.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Dick Barton , I understand what you are saying here. You mean use the 1k resistor with a multimeter to test the individual led's? I understand that you have to reduce the voltage by using a resistor so as not to blow the led's.

I now have some 1k resistors and I have decided to strip the panel down so that I can get to the led strips and then I will test each led with a multimeter and a 1k resistor.
Many thanks. I can see where you are coming from.
I will update once the panel is stripped down. Not much time this week, so there may be a delay.

Samsung UE75TU7020k No picture, Standby blinks 2 times
        by brithepi2k
My Samsung UE75TU7020k lights up fine when one of the ribbon cables are disconnected from the main board, lights stay on but not getting half a picture, I do the same with the other ribbon and put the other one in and lights stay on but not getting half a picture. The standby light flashes 2 times then reboots then it then tries to come back on again and just keeps looping until I take either one of the ribbon tables out (doesn’t matter which one I take out it stays lit when either one is out). I’ve tested the backlights but all working with none shorting out, I’ve replaced the main board...

Panasonic TC-P60S30 - no standby voltage
        by BobbyMJ
        Hi All,
Wanting to learn some electronics repair skills.
I found a non working Panasonic TC-P60S30 and this is my first project / attempt.

So far I have found a blown cap on the main power supply board.
After replacing it there's still no standby power.

Poked around and found a resistor on the PSUB power supply board that measures open.

An online resistor calculator shows this is a 93k ohm resister.

        My questions:

        Is that correct, 93k ohms?
        Is it a fusible resistor?
Lastly, how do I know what wattage?...

Panasonic AG-1000B VHS player with bad picture quality
        by FZG
        Hello!

I recently got an old VHS player from Panasonic and just for fun I want to try to repair this device. It is an AG-1000B portable VHS player from 1990 and it has a problem with picture quality in playback mode.

Picture in playback mode is very noisy and often loses sync but the still images are nearly perfect.

I want to know, is this something that could be solved by recapping or is the video head likely gone?

        Also, what mechanism is this?

        Any feedback is appreciated!...

Panasonic TH-65FX800A backlight LED's working but picture is very dark
        by Bazfletch3
        Hi all

While I have quite a decent background in electrical & electronic troubleshooting & repairs, this is my first time stripping down an LCD TV for repair.... I have inherited a 3yr old Panasonic LCD which has a picture, but it is quite dark (too dark to be watchable - but still quite easy to see; I didnt need a torch to see it).

I started by checking and trying to adjust all of the picture and backlighting levels, but that made little to no difference. I also did a factory reset.

From there I envisaged that the backlighting wasn't working, however...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
        by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

        Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

        First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...
