Re: Panasonic Viera LED TH60CX700A - Sound / Backlights Working - No Picture
I have a very similar problem with a Panasonic TX50DX700b model. I am struggling to find the cause of the blank screen . Audio comes through and you can change channels with the remote but the screen has a blue hue and not even a ‘no signal' message. Backlights are clearly working as you can see them brightly lit at the rear of the panel. I have checked the tcon fuse and the 12 volts is present. I also fitted a working replacement tcon board with no effect. I have changed the main board for a known working...

Re: Denon cd player has very low output
Thanks for your response Andrew. I will get the cover off next week and have a look at the IC's that you refer to.

Denon cd player has very low output
I have a Denon cd player model DCD835. It produces a clear distortion free output on both stereo channels , but has a very low volume. I have connected it to different stereo amplifiers with the same result. You can only hear the output if you turn the amplifier up to its highest level.
Anyone have any ideas as to the cause of this and where to start testing the player.

Re: Panasonic plasma tv won't come out of standby
Thanks for response.
The previous owner told me that he changed the power board and that it made no difference. And some clicking noise from the relay is normal isn't it.
The red standby led blinks continuously. it blinks once followed by a 3 second pause and the blinks again. That is repeated over and over again without stopping. I think this is a single blink in the panasonic diagnostics. A single blink on a panasonic plasma normally indicates the AV board. I want to test it but don't know which test to do. I am fully...

Panasonic plasma tv won't come out of standby
I have a 42 inch plasma tv (txp42c2b). It won't power on properly and is stuck on standby with a continuous red led blink . When switched on I can hear the relay click but it goes no further.I think that it is a single blink followed by a pause and then repeated over and over again.
A bit of internet research leads me to think that 1 blink means dg board (main AV board). This is my first choice to test. Can anyone give me a good voltage test to test the main board.

Wistron lcd for Panasonic tx42 a400b. Can I use it for another model
I have stripped the Wistron lcd panel for the Panasonic tx42 a400b . I am trying to repair the backlight as it has the single flash red led blink code. I have removed the lcd glass and the white diffuser layers and tested every led on the backlight and found 2 blown led's. AM just in the process of attempting a repair (stacking method).
However , I also have a panasonic tx42 as520b with a shattered lcd. It functions normally apart from the broken screen with all good parts and cables. It has occurred to me that perhaps the lcd glass from the a400 may work on the as520 as they are both 42...

Re: Panasonic LCD tv goes into standby and won;t display a picture
Dick Barton , I understand what you are saying here. You mean use the 1k resistor with a multimeter to test the individual led's? I understand that you have to reduce the voltage by using a resistor so as not to blow the led's.
I now have some 1k resistors and I have decided to strip the panel down so that I can get to the led strips and then I will test each led with a multimeter and a 1k resistor.
Many thanks. I can see where you are coming from.
I will update once...

Re: Panasonic LCD tv goes into standby and won;t display a picture
Thanks for the help but I am not sure I need to test further. The link from reecyburger shows exactly the same symptoms in another tv from the same series. Also, mine blinks once red followed by a pause. One blink means backlight issue according to Panasonic. I need to decide whether to strip down the panel or not. I am wary of doing that , as I may damage the lcd beyond repair by dismantling everything. It may be worth doing though....

Re: Panasonic LCD tv goes into standby and won;t display a picture
Have reconnected the lvds to the mainboard, but now have no backlight activity atall. At first, when this problem started the backlight came on for about 1 second shortly after powering on. Now there is nothing and the tv is on standby with the 1 repeating led flash.

Re: Panasonic LCD tv goes into standby and won;t display a picture
No. The led goes red and it goes to standby, but the backlights definately don't come on. This was with the lvds cable disconnected from the main board....Last edited by Acerman; 11-16-2016, 10:32 AM.
