    Element ELCFW329

32" Manufactured January 2013. The red light comes on when plugged in. The power button does nothing. There's no clicking sounds. There's a very faint high pitch noise coming from the power board.

All voltages are there except the 24 volt is showing about 12 volts. One odd thing is that the meter shows 24 volts for a millisecond when the leads are first applied. I tried unplugging each connector, but no change in behavior.

Any ideas on what to try next?

I got it to power up after heating the winbond flash chip. I think the 24v is mislabeled on the board because those pins have a jumper wire to the 12 volt side from the factory.

Laptop is HP Envy x360 13-bf0013dx, hp website link, it's an i7-1250U with 8 gig onboard ram.
      Platform: ipa32 la-m024p rev 1b

Originally you'd plug power supply into it and it would take up to 1.2 amps and then drop to 200 milliamps and then go back up again to 1.2, staying all the while at 5 volts. Pressing power button would results in power LED blinking amber 3 times. 3.3 volt rail, 5.1 volt rail present, main power rail 8.8 volts. Power button test pads near EC chip 2.7 volts.

I found a short on the other side:

Gigabyte H610M S2H V2 help to identify the element.
      by flysky
      There is a motherboard Gigabyte H610M S2H V2 (DDR5), I can't find boardview
Help to identify the element, marking on the element - C31PH. It stands next to the USB 3.0 and it looks like it is ESD Protect chip. We need a datasheet to this element. Maybe someone has already identified such an element. Help please.

HP 15dy-2021nr wont power on mystery volts
      by supermattch
      Hi everyone.

I am diagnosing my personal laptop, because it wont power on and no leds light up.

At the dc-in there are 8 pins, 1 and 2 shows healthy 19.66 volts. The next three are ground, but the 6th one shows .283 volts. This is strange to me, it should be 3.3 or 5 or aome volts not 0.283v. As I am new to this, I would like some guidance. Please someone advise me on what to check next.

Oh the boardview and schematics I am using is for a similar model as I cannot find the proper one anywhere. Quanta DA0P5HMB8F1 rev F. Nowhere on the internet.

PS5 digital / No Power / No Beep / Good power supply
      by MisterAIL
      Hi everyone,

Brought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU...
      No beep, nothing.

After some tests i found this :
      - PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
      - 12 volts line is shorted
      - DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
      - By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

Mesuring all rails with my workbench psu (12 volts input)
      - 0.00 amp drawing
      - 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (suppose new DA9065 do is...

      Fishing bite alarm drains battery
      by Mcfeetroy
Good day to all. The bite alarm drains 9-volt Krona batteries. Current consumption when switched on is about 50 mA. I wiped the board from oxides, I will attach a photo (on the board there is a j3y transistor and a 7533 stabilizer, the microcircuit is erased = (the 3.3-volt stabilizer heats up weakly. I replaced it, nothing changed. I unsoldered the microcircuit, the consumption disappeared. The resistance on the pins of the unsoldered microcircuit from the point clockwise is more than 2 megaohms, the 11th leg is presumably ground. I warmed up the microcircuit, the consumption does not change....
