Vizio M421VT LED backlight settings?

Hi guys; any body knows how to lower backlight in Vizio M421VT LED,it doesn't let me go to the backlight adjustment i have to use movie that comes with backlight 55 but is a cloudy pic, to get a good pic have lower brightness to 30,raise contrast to 70. raise colour to 80,but when rebooting tv it goes to factory settings, which is vivid 100 backlight,tv has custom settings but it has the backlight adjustment frozen.all other factory have besides movie that is 55 all other have minimum 85 setting.

Hi guys i just solved my backlight adjustment by turning off Ambient light sensor, and Smart Dimming.

Hi guys;i come back with my Vizio M421VT LED,as i said i was able to adjust custom backlight by turning off Ambient light sensor, and Smart Dimming, but i came to find out when rebooting tv it goes back to factory default,i want to keep it at 40 on backlight but no avail,anybody knows why the tv doesn't store custom setting?even my 20 years KV36HS500 doesn't act like that,anything i can do to solve the mem ram issue?thanks

I do not know about the VIZIO, but when I replaced the LEDs in Insignia TV and then set the Pictures setting to custom to lower the backlights level but when I turn the TV off and then turn it back on, it goes back the VIVID mode, it turns out after digging into each user menu setup pages then I found the setting in the power control page that allow the TV to go to VIVID mode every time the TV is turned ON, so I unchecked the box then it remember my custom setting (it was not mention in the user manual, I also thought it was firmware problem). You may have to look at all the setup pages to see if it has such thing in VIZIO. I look at your TV user manual and did not see anything like that but they may not have put in that info..

Thanks budm; for trying to help, i've found a solution after so much digging,and specially never give up;for someone that comes across this situtation, here it goes;

TV is set to Store Mode (aka Shop Mode, Demo Mode) instead of Home Mode. In this case it will always revert to the vivid settings you see in showrooms. This feature usually appears in the Initial Setup Menu.

Go to the Help Menu and select the Guided Setup feature which will take you to the First-time Installation. When the Home/Store option appears, select Home. This allows you to later set and store your own custom settings.

i guess i spoke to soon about storing custom settings in Vizio M421VT ,the next day turned tv on and all custom adjustments were not there but the Factory default, i did exact per
instructions using home mode instead of Store mode, and went through the install process,then turned off tv and turned it on all was good. but next day everything went to default ,what a bummer,maybe e prom faulty?
Also went through the menu pages and do not see anything related to that.
I guess i have to use Back light forcefully at 85 that's the minimum best default pic settings,which is Game, Football, which is a nice pic anyway, it also has back light at 50 with cinema setting but it's too blur due too low contrast and color, forget about the back light leds extended life.

HI guys; update on my Vizio M421vt custom pic adjustments issue. Well today after doing again the factory default and complete installation of home settings and configurations, i went in the pic adjustments and adjusted custom pic settings to my liking and instead of turning off TV with remote control,(which is not the original for this model) i turned off TV on the TV control panel and a few hours later i turned TV on with remote and my custom settings were all there,already tried two times and all good,don't if powering off tv on the tv control have anything to do with it,yet to be seen,maybe i have to turn off tv on the tv,keep my fingers crossed.
