LG 50PA4500 Won't Respond

So I have an LG 50PA4500 that won't respond to anything. Has a continuous backlight when plugged in. No sound, no picture, no response, nothing. A year or two back we had a bad storm that blew out the input board due to improper grounding on my Satellite dish. I changed the board, and it worked great since then. About 2 months ago we had another bad storm, while I was out of town, that turned the TV like it is now. No sound, no picture, no response, and continuous backlight when plugged in. I did the logic board test sequence and it tested good. So I replaced the logic board. For the first 20 minutes TV seemed to work fine but wouldn't show any input. It would recognize that I had plugged in a new input but would show no signal on that input. While trying to troubleshoot the input, I stepped out of the room and came back to the TV back to the way it was. No sound, no picture, no response, nothing. Wouldn't respond to any inputs...Any help here? I'm about to give up on this TV, but really don't want to pay the money for a new one. I'm lost.

If you had a storm and the tv stopped working after the storm, it sounds like you may need a new main board.
On your logic board, you will have the words EXT_AUTO_GEN they will be written under 2 test points. Go ahead and short those test points with a wire to triger the test pattern on your tv. You will want to have everything inside the tv plugged in normally aside from the large connector going from the power supply to the main board and also disconnect the large ribbon cable from the main board to the logic board. Once you have done that go ahead and plug in your tv to the power. You should see the set turn on and go to a color pattern mode. If you do then you have just confirmed you have a bad main again.

But it held up for 20 minutes. Is the no input detection a possibility of a bad main board as well? If not is the input only processed on the input board.
