Can't find a suitable tcon board for this anywhere, I can find loads with the same part number but the other numbers don't match. If I get one with only the same part number will it work at all does anyone know? Thanks

Hi guys, had a bit of luck with this set. Replaced the tcon board and everything was fine. Perfect picture and was watching it for an hour or so...and then the remote became a bit unresponsive and lines crept over the screen and the picture froze. I power cycled the tv and I'm back to square one ish, killed another tcon board I'm guessing.

Any idea what may be the cause? I was thinking over voltage but then I checked that and it was 11v dc?

Any help appreciated, getting close to breaking it up for spares.

      Cheers Aaron

Any ideas why the tcon board would fail so quick anyone? Fuse on tcon is fine on both tcon boards btw.

Possibly a bad COF chip on one of the panel tabs.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Just to follow up and complete this thread, I replaced the tcon board again but this time getting an exact number matching (last time only part number) board and I put a heat sink on the ic for extra cooling as I'm led to believe that was what was being killed and the tv has now been working a week!!

So not sure which has solved the issue but I suspect it's having the exact right tcon board.

              Thanks for your help people.

Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 - Pink vertical lines due to chipped LCD panel?
                by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...

                Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

                Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

I have a problem with my Samsung LCD panel a320ap20s4lv0.4. There appears vertical lines where ever there is text . See my pictures.
this problem only happen with HDMI input, not with VGA
the picture is so good with VGA input
Could this be fixed by cutting some kind of tracks on PCB that drives the LCD panel?
vgh even vgh odd signal from Shift Register
                and directly connected to panel?

                by gpo23
                Hello,

                i order a t-con because i had bad colors on my SONY KDL-40V3000 :

With the new t-con the color are good but there are vertical lines on all the screen :

I've tried the old t-con and it returned to the initial issue (bad colors but no vertical lines)

Is there a way to fix the vertical lines on the new t-con ?

                Thank you for your help
