    Vivax 32'' MSD309.8B no picture

    Hi guys,
I have 32'' Vivax TV set that is stuck on red standby, wont turn on, backlight doesn't flash, tried torch test but no luck. I can feel the mainboard chip getting warm, and also the chip on PL.MS6M30.1b is getting warm.
All voltages from PSU are okay, 12V, 5V, 5Vstby, etc, also there is also voltage on LVDS cable, 1.3V-1.4V.
Question i have is, on the input to T-Con there is LVDS voltage on "data wires" but there is no 5V or 12V for panel to turn on, also on Inverter board voltage coming from PSU is 24V which seem alright. Status pin on inv board is 0V, VBR-B is 4.7V, ON/OFF is 0V.

    MS6M30.1B

You have corrupt firmware on the motherboard epprom/flash chip. Replace the mb or find a replacement epprom with correct firmware.

Btw guys, one general question about LVDS and LCD panels. For LCD panel to work does it need a power supply except the LVDS 1.2 1-3V voltages that are given by T-Con. Ofcourse we are not talking about backlight voltages needed for backlight to operate...
Any good videos to watch or books to read for recomend?

Un70nu6900 taped lvds, how to fix washed out 1/2 picture?
            by mecha1166
I am getting these 70 inch Samsungs daily. Dead set light comes on goes off, dark screen. Tried taping the problem lvds cable pins 13 to ? pin, used about 9 mm scotch tape. Picture comes on, no distortion lines, looks good, but 1/2 of screen is washed out. Problem seems to always be the last little strip on the bottom. Has anyone found what is actually the problem? Possibly one of three diodes there? I have a pic but it is washed out on 1/2. Anyony had success in fully restoring the picture? Thanks.

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
            by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

            Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

            First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
            by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

            Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung TV model UE50TU: rebooting, backlight, sound, but no picture
            by TR103
            Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
            - sound and backlight, but no picture
            - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
            - it keeps rebooting
            - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
            - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

            - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel and with a jumpered...

Samsung plasma tv PN51F5300BF - jerky staticky picture on whole screen until warm up
            by Ollerenshaw
About 50% of time, on switching tv on, there is a jerky staticky picture over whole screen. After some seconds (variable, 5 to 20 seconds) picture suddenly becomes normal.
            Nothing appears abnormal inside.
I'm not a service technician. Main questions: Any ideas as to problem? Worth taking to repair technician? My skills would allow replacing a board but nothing more complicated.
            Photos and video attached.
            Thanks for any ideas....
