Samsung PS42-Q97HD, power supply: BN44-00161A clicking ON and OFF

    Hi,
    Replaced capacitors (4x1000uF), checked mosfets QX801, QX802, QS801, QS802 - no shorts, fuses OK.
    AC connected:
5.1V between Stby and RTN pins
    4.2V between PS-ON and RTN

AC connected, bridge between PS-ON and RTN:
Relays clicks ON and straight OFF.

No idea what to do / check next.
Thank you very much for any help.

Mosfets: 11 Ohm between external legs on the bigger ones (QS801, QS802)
    1380 Ohm - QX802 (between external legs)
    2.4 kOhm - QX801
    Anything wrong here, please?

Are those readings with the mosfet in circuit. Better to test with it removed and meter set to diode mode. What's its part number?

        Mosfets still in board.
Checked in diode mode (still in board):
First one: 0.645, second one over the range.
Looks like these two has been replaced in the past.

You should be able to measure the diode in one direction with all other measurements OL

Watch this if the mosfets are not blown, common issue on these boards is broken solder joints:

Removed two surface mounted diodes: DX803, DX804.
One looks fine, other one: over limit in diode mode, 5kOhm in resistance mode.
Power supply still clicks On and OFF without them diodes. Is this OK?

Thats fine, have you checked the solder joints on the devices on the middle heatsink ?

                      Yes.
I've got the power supply out of the TV now.
CN807 connector, stby, VS-on, PS-on pins; there are pins marked 5.3V, I've got only 1.42V. Is this OK?

                        Connector CN801, AMP etc, on pins 5.3V and 12V I've got 1.4v.

                                        Both mosfets:
red probe on S, black on D, diode mode, reading: 563
reversed probes: no readings on both mosfets.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Definitive technology SC 2000 subwoofer amp's power supply clicking and popping
                                          by JimBanville
The sub developed a constant popping every couple seconds from woofer and power LED flickering with nothing but wall AC connected. Connecting an audio cable didn't change anything. It doesn't play but a second or two of audio in between the pops.
Opened it up and discovered the power supply is making a faint clicking or ticking sound.
I measured the amp's output to the woofer and it pulses up to 50mv DC to be driver. The pulses coincide with the power supply ticking/clicking.
I measured the power supply output going to the amp board and it too has this pulsing. Voltage cycles...

This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                                          by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
