    Samsung Plasma PN51D550 3D TV X/Y boards

    I have some X/Y boards for Samsung 50 plasma TV, some of them are 1080P (DF),some are 720P(DH), piled in my garage for long time. Today I happened to have time to repair and test against PN51D550 (1080P 3D TV).

    I checked the boards all seem to have IGBT transistors blown.
    I fixed some of them only due to not have enough transistors.
    Part Number: LJ41_09422A (X) ,LJ41_09423A (Y).

    Y board (DH)+X board (DH), TV works. (720P boards work for 1080P).
    Y board (DF)+X board (DF), TV works. (original).
    Y board (DF)+X board (DH), TV works.
    Y board (DH)+X board (DF), TV not work, X and Y boards both burnt IGBTS again.

    I don't have the 720P(PN50D450) TV so don't know if DF XY board works.

              Summary for TL-DR readers:
              • Backlight is intermittent, may come on with TV boot or not. No flickering, never fails during TV on.
              • Have obtained Samsung schematic & service documents - Can upload if helpful.
              • Have read ALL applicable threads
              • C1818 and CP820 replaced as low hanging fruit
              • CN802 data taken for normal and failed BL operation. SUMMARY: Pin 2 - 5vDet = 3.52 @normal, 0.0 @BL fail. Pin 6 - EPWM = 1.631 @normal, 1.058 @BL fail.

              Hey everyone,

              This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

              Hi everyone,

              Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

              Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

              I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....
