I've determined that the main board is the fault.
Upon plugging in to AC, with the main board connected to PS, main board is sending 2.5V to PS_ON and the 12V and 24V are working. The BL_ON and DIM are fluctuating. No backlights come on.
Disconnect the main board from PS, and provide 2.5V to PS_ON and BL_ON. The backlights come on and voltages are normal.
This main board is not readily available and very expensive, not worth the $165-$200 cost.
Does this seem like anything that can be fixed? It is the same type of board used in Insignia TVs..
Would the eeprom cause an issue like this? Does anyone know of a company who specializes in EEPROMs and can program them?
