    Baird jo47.

I have This TV, all of a sudden it gave me problems getting out of stand-by, (red light would just flash away).

So I replaced 5 of the Capacitors, Now the unit switches on from stand-by quite happily.

However, Now the screen appears to be extremely bright pinkish white. Can still see the image displayed on screen, the picture seems like a negative.

entered Factory Mode (source 2 5 8 0) no eprom reset option there,

so where do i go from here?

Any help/Guidance will be greatly appreciated

Hi and thanks for the reply.

Although I don't know if it would make much difference, the screen on this unit is CMO.

I've managed to get into the menu (source 2580) but unfortunately there is not a reset option, only thing available is "shipping mode".

I was informed that I more than likely have corrupted firmware, and was told to look for a bin file. I have found one which I will attach, however I am not 100 percent certain that it is the correct one, not to mention that I require a pointer on how to flash it as there are not any usbs on the unit.

So any help and advice I will greatly accept!

      Regards
      Ben.

Also noticed that two settings are set to "off" position, they are:
        ssc miu and ssc lvds
        Is this correct

Maybe have a play with the Lvds settings first before ordering an epprom. Also have you got an image of the service menu please ?

your link looks like that firmwares for a lg screen looking at the panel sticker in your picture its a cmo screen

                    or this from ohms supplies
                    http://www.ohmsupplies.co.uk/JO47-BA...GRAMMED-EEPROM for cmo screen only

please note though this may not be the issue with your tv so its up to you if you want to try it.

                          Hi Vince,
Many thanks for your advice, I'll leave the replacement eeprom on the back burner for now.

As for my next step...... I'm totally lost, where would you suggest that I go from here?

                          Regards

I attach a photo of the caps that I have replaced, the two that are together (ec9 & ec10) had obviously gone, the other 3 (being ea3, ec2, & ln2)

Go into factory setting if I remember the reset option is there.
