Given how most TVs are set to highest brightness and contrast by default, the LEDs are probably driven at 100% all the time. If the TV is on the majority of the day, I would say 2 years maximum.

If you look through the TV forum, you will see a lot of failed LEDs. It only takes one failed LED for the TV not to work.

I find people treat things that are not their own personal property with little to no respect.

Samsung HG75EJ690UB Hotel TV, change main?
        by elpatxi_bcn
        Hello!

I just got a Samsung TV model HG75EJ690UB 75" and 4K. It is a hotel TV, with a slightly different version of the Tizen operating system than the TVs at home.
Being a hotel, it is covered in many functions. With the service menu I can unlock some, but not others. For example, I can't install apps like Netflix etc...
The fact is that it seems that I can replace the main by a, say, "normal". I think the one that corresponds is NU7105, ref BN94-02635. At work, which is a convention center and a hotel, I have many TVs from 55" to 85" that...

        Explanation of capacitor rating
        by Adenitz
        Hello,
I'm reading an article about the "capacitor plaque" in early 2000s and I have found one sentence I cannot understand.
The normal lifespan of a non-solid electrolytic capacitor of consumer quality, typically rated at 2000 h/85 °C and operating at 40 °C, is roughly 6 years. It can be more than 10 years for a 1000 h/105 °C capacitor operating at 40 °C.

What this 2000h or 1000h means? Why 1000h capacitors have longer life span?

Seasonic B12 BC-550 – barely 2 years old and with BAD CAPS already!
        by momaka
I know I've been a little scarce lately (like the last 2-3 years), but I'm still here and still doing my thing with fixing PSUs.

For today's considerations, I have a Seasonic B12 BC-550 [A551bcafh] 550 Watt ATX power supply for you (click on links for full size images).

It's a modern ATX unit with fixed (non-modular) cables and an 80-plus bronze certificate. Here's the label:

Customer with SS AMP not used in years
        by Uranium-235
He has a pioneer SA 608, matching Tuner (TS 608) and Tape deck (CT F600) and a pointless timer (DT 400)...late 70's early 80's from my research

We're going to try to focus this as a Turntable setup (his turntable is a seemingly cheapo from like 10 years ago...but it does have a phono out), which is at least comforting because the amp has a phono input. It also had a USB port, looks pretty cheap

I'm trying to go for an all analog here. What is the likely problematic caps? Power? I've never dealt with amps this old and of this type. I replaced them in a cheap yamaha...

        Philips 22HFL3232D/10 hotel unlock?
        by slayernn
Hello. Got this tv with limited functions and with guest remote. Security level is probably on most high, i tried all posible codes like 319753info etc, nothing work! I tried upgrade firmware via usb, nothing happens. I dont have master remote to turn this hotel mode off, cant find one anywhere.. Is there any way, lets say to use universal remote and will it be able to enter setup menu? Is there windows program which can emulate it true ir sensor? I'm even thinking of upgrading firmware on cmos chip (like on pc mbos) with CH341A programer but firmware is pkg file (PS_2K10_DL_BUH-EU_MT5363_panel_2.02_110704_upgrade.pkg)...
