Hi guys, about to scrap a lovely Samsung plasma as I think the panel has gone but before I took the drastic step of putting the parts on eBay,I thought I'd see if anyone had any thoughts on if this could be salvaged. The model is a uk spec P51e8000. As you can see from the pictures there are vertical lines. These appeared on the right hand side originally then I opened the tv, changed the logic board but no luck. Then I also removed the front bezel and played around with the ribbons. This did nothing to the lines. In the process of removing the bezel I may have applied a little pressure on the left hand side ribbons because now I have lines in the middle and on the left hand side. So I think the lines are related to rubbish quality ribbons meaning the panel is history. The lines go over the menu as shown. Any ideas. I'm in Birmingham UK if anyone wants to buy parts. Tv is in excellent condition. Shame, it's put me off Samsung for life. Shoddy components and build quality. Suppose the motto with Samsung is that all that glitters is not gold.

Re: Samsung plasma P51e8000 vertical lines
Panel failure not fixable sorry. The COF (chip on film) address driver packs which are bonded to the panel have started to fail and they are not replaceable. These modern Samsung Plasmas are absolute shite ! They give a bad name to PlasmaLast edited by ReeceyBurger123; 05-06-2016, 04:40 PM.Please Do Not PM My Page Asking For Help Badcaps Is The Place For Advise, Page Linked For Business Reasons Only. Re: Samsung plasma P51e8000 vertical lines
Yes AC Milan all the way, although not doing so well right now! Anyway thanks for the advice guys, I agree that Samsung are pretty poor, funnily enough I have never owned a Samsung product that didn't have issues. My Panasonic plasmas have never missed a beat in 10 years. I think Samsung entice you in with lots of features and sick design, but their build quality and quality control is pretty shoddy. Hail the Japanese.
Parts going on eBay.
