Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
I have this same Psu in another Tv which I will be taking a look at tomorrow. So will get reading then with the same Psu. That wont be till about 4pm tomorrow when I finish college and have a look at that set though.

@reece, do you have any of the Vestel board that uses the 6300 IC that may be you can try taking some resistance measurement on?

I to would agree at this point. Nothing to lose changing it, but everything to gain.

Im just going to throw my 2 pence in. Dont give up on this, keep following Buds advise. It will work out just keep trying. I want to see this work out.Last edited by ReeceyBurger123; 05-03-2016, 03:05 PM.

VDD to GND same 192 in diode mode

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
I am talking about the diode mode reading between VDD and GND pin of the IC.
At this point I suspect bad IC.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
have already soldered back R301 but diode did read in one direction only when resistor R301 was removed

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
Now, are you getting about the same reading in diode mode if you measure between VDD and GND pin without the resistor in place, try it both ways with the probes?

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
BTW, instead of removing the SMD D20, remove the 0 Ohm resistor R301 instead since it is basically a jumper and then you can test the diode on board.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
If the reading does not look right then remove and test it off the board.

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
R301 seems ok, however not sure of diode D20, diode mode set on meter it is reading .194 in both directions, is that right ?

Re: Dead Vestel 17IPS71 power board
Also check the diode alongside it D20 and R301 also capacitors C295, C296, C302
Edit
Just taken another look at the photo of the back of the board and it looks as though C295 and C302 are not fitted but C296 is fitted.Last edited by dick_barton; 05-03-2016, 01:51 PM.
