Toshiba 52HM95 52-inch HD DLP Projection TV - Blank Screen - Getting worse!

The problem: What I am experiencing is my screen goes completely black (no lines or faint images), while the audio remains on. This is occurring at least once a day, sometimes two or three times every day now. I have had the TV since new in 2006, with this problem starting several months ago.
Temporary Actions Attempted:I can switch channels and the screen will come back on about 30% of the time. If this fails, I must power down and up again for the screen to come back on again, which always works.
Help Requested:Is anyone familiar with this problem and if so is the solution to it within the scope of a novice?
    Please advise.
    Thanks

Does it require a new lamp? 2006 was some time ago as far as tv's go.

      Thanks for the response.

I have had to replace the bulb at least three times in the past 10 years but that was due to it burning up with no picture at all. I believe this case to be different although I am not sure of anything at this point.

bulbs do fail is other modes than just "burn up". Your only other option is the ballast. However, neither bulb nor ballast can be tested without a known completely working system (ie. bulb and ballast certified working).

that would potentially point to the ballast next.... but you should do a few voltage checks to ensure there is some "base sanity" electronically for the system.

CH341a can erase and read but can't write and blank check
              by hasel17
So I am trying to repair broken thunderbolt FW on X1 Yoga Gen 2. The EEPROM chip is WINBOND 25Q80DVNIG. I already do a back-up and erase. But when I try to wrote new FW, it was successfull, but when I tried to read it, it still blank. when I try to do a blank check, it gave me instant error in address 0. I already tried two CH341A, already did the 3.3v fix mod, using AsProgrammer, NeoProgrammer, Colibri, and CH341A 1.29. But the problem still occurred. What I did wrong here? Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance. Here is the log in Colibri :

              Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor - Works For A Second & Then Blank Display
              by RetroComputingGrotto
I've got a Hanns.G Hi221 Monitor that works for a moment and then the display goes off but the power LED indicator remains on. If you power it off and back on again it does the same thing, it comes on and then the display goes blank. From a cold start it takes 10 seconds or so before the display goes blank but if you turn it off and then back on again after it already being on it goes blank a lot quicker so I'm assuming something is getting hot which is causing the display to go off.

I've uploaded a video of it happening on YouTube:

              I've taken the monitor...

              by Chrissygizmo
Hi all, I’ve got a problem I hope someone can help me fixi.
I have a Panasonic TX-48CX350B tv , it powers up ok but the screen is blank, the backlights are working, there’s nothing else though, no picture or sound. I’m not sure what the fault is called whether it’s BLANK/ BLACK/ or WHITE SCREEN I’ve actually came across this before on a similar tv but just ended up scrapping it, I will upload pictures of the boards etc , if anyone could help me I would really appreciate it...

ASUS VH238T blank screen with backlight
              by Spoonicks
              Hello,

              I am having a problem with a ASUS VH238T.
The monitor started by just going blank, but the integrated speakers, and the backlight worked. The OSD didn't pop up, neither did the messages of DVI No Signal, nor the Asus logo.
Turning off the monitor, and turning it back on made no difference. But leaving the monitor off for a few hours returned the monitor back to normal. The problem will eventually return after a couple of hours.

Today, it started exhibiting another symptom: the display started showing a white image, that didn't take the whole screen....

Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 14IAH8 - Type 83BF OLED Blank screen
              by Kalman27
We have a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 14IAH8 - Type 83BF for repair. The original issue the OLED screen is blank.

We have replaced the OLED screen with the exact model, also we replaced the LCD cable, but no luck.

I think there is something with the motherboard. I don't really have experience with OLED screens so far, so not sure how it should work. I have seen some laptop comes with a separate controller board, but this model does not.

Also, there is an error in Windows device manager - This device cannot start (Code 10) - Intel(R) Serial IO I2C Host Controller...
