With everything connected and set plugged in--

Check for the Stby-5V supply to Mainboard--Will be marked on the PSU.

IF OK, Locate the PS-On pin of PSU and check voltage while turning set on.

        Let us know......

BTW--Its Easily Possible to KILL the CONTROL-BOARD on these sets if--
You unplug the 5V supply to the Cont Board, with Mainboard Still Connected to the Cont Board, and Powering set Up....

--I suspect that this may have happened. (One VERY GOOD reason--NOT to randomly Unplug boards and power set up, if you dont know Exactly What you're doing!!)

Check for shorts on the two Voltage-Regs on bottom edge of Cont Board, and the electrolytic caps near them....

I will try investigate this evening.. I have been trying not to unplug anything with the mains connected.

Thanks for your time and patience. I am a complete novice but at the same time feel it's fixable with guidance.

            Thanks

              Re: LG 50ps3000 power fault

              Hi.Its well know problem.
If your set start even after 15 minutes the problem is mainboard bga chip.
Put the power supply out of the set and jump it to measure VA VS.
If you have voltage put it back then put you meter on the pin who sent the power signal to power (from logic)and see when you start the tv if you have 3,2v.
If not take the mainboard out check for cold joint and reflow the bga with hallogen lamp.
If your YSUS and ZSUS dont work you hear a ham and the set are completely dead ,the led on logic board dont light.

Sceptre U550CV-UMR 4K LED, Bad Caps on Main Power Board?
                by Dani_2024
Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

(SOLVED) - ONN 100012588 No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Issue: No Power, Then Rebooting After Main Board Change

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

                Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
                by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                Assuming...

[HELP] Acer AN515-55 (LA-J871P Rev: 1B) – Board won't power on after GPU investigation – Suspecting Super I/O or PCH

                Hi everyone,

I'm working on an Acer Nitro 5 unit with the following specs:
                • Motherboard: LA-J871P Rev: 1B
                • Model: Acer AN515-55-59MT
                • S/N: NHQ7JAL00403906A973400
                • SNID: 03902728734

                Initial Issue

The laptop initially presented graphic issues and driver failure (Code 43) for the GPU.

After preventive maintenance (cleaning, thermal paste, etc.), it powered on normally. We disassembled it again to inspect the GPU, reassembled...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
                by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...
