Ok, so the white blank stripe is the indicator?

Failed Panel, the COF address driver which is bonded to the panel has shorted out not replaceable.

Thanks, ill weigh the options. I had gotten a samsung 55ln550c on a good deal. It had pinkish vertical lines about every inch across the whole screen. I simply eliminated the screw that goes from the cover through and into the main board. Then used a larger winged bolt to screw through the sheet metal cover but too big to fit into board, causing tension and twisted until lines went away. BTW i hate 4d tv.

ah... but regular vertical lines isn't usually a panel problem. A panel problem is usually "area centric" as opposed to across the screen. As you have found, the main board can produce "whole panel visual issues" that can be recovered from.

Ok, gotcha. Now i have heard of people reattaching (fixing) tab bonds, would that he the case here? Or is it definitely shorted?

highly unlikely that people have been successful with tab bond "remakes". You can try putting some thermal padding on one of the pads to see if it helps in terms of pressure and also heat conductivity... some people have had some success in that direction but it is usually limited and usually with lcd based screens.

Oh, yeah the lcd or plasma differences could be the factor. Im glad i asked. Anyway someone must've grabbed that tv as listing is gone.

                          Hi Guys.
I have experienced something rather unique and need to find out by the forum what to make of it.
I got in this set, a JVC or Telefunken LED TV whose complaint is that sometimes the set comes up blank with the back lights running. So I switched on and yes there was a blank screen and back lights were running. I checked the fuse on the TCON and sometime later I lifted the set off the table to check the image (the TV has no feet to let it stand upright) and noticed the set was cycling red, green blue, test pattern, blank then all over again doing this. Suddenly the no signal...

New project for a Lipo4 based battery pack for a battery backup that I found an enclosure from Battery Hookup
                          by sam_sam_sam
Right now Battery Hookup has these e-bike battery packs that are used but I am going to remove them and test them and see how good they are and maybe resell or reused them for another project this is for another day

When I get the rack mounted enclosure that I mentioned in another post I will see how well they fit in the enclosure and how much room I will have left

                          https://batteryhookup.com/products/3...ttery-with-bms

These battery packs are a little bit hard to get out of the enclosure because they were a little bit glue...

                          by Bladiblad
I have an interesting project here. I have a HP RTX 3060 12GB VRAM GPU with a shortcircuit between a (what I believe is) a coil and a cap. The short circuit is so bad that it will trigger a failsafe on the PSU.

I'm a beginner in this field and have managed to do only very simple board repairs so far. I have basic understanding of the components (mosfets, caps, nand chips) but completely diagnosing a board with schematics would be challenging. In this case though, I'm going to hope that replacing only the two shorted components will bring the card back to life (if none of the IC's...

So based on some of the comments in my other posts, there seems to be some confusion or maybe some assumptions, I'm not sure exactly, so I wanted to hit the reset button on the entire discussion and make a few things clear that might not have otherwise been obvious.

First of all, the reason I post in this forum is that I simply do not have enough knowledge in electronics to do some things that I would like to do. So I post my questions in here and I try to be as thorough as possible MOST of the time, so that those of you who do take the time to respond, will be as informed as possible...
