Thanks, vr69. I love your sense of optimism!

Sadly tho, I can see the crack in the screen when I look thru it from the rear.

However, I recently fixed a Sony XBR series LCD that DID have a bad tab-bond, and gave it to my wife's boss after I fixed it (a little brown-nosing never hurts ). Took forever til I found the exact spot that was bad.
In my case, failed area on the screen was horizontal, but I can see how a failed area could be vertical too.

To learn from your suggestion, could a bad bond area also cause a curved issue? I'm trying to absorb as much knowledge as I can as diagnosing these beasts is 'almost' as much as fishing... and a whole lot better on bad-weather days!

Dunno if you're having any luck finding new LEDs, but I have a full set that I harvested from that tv i was referencing in my earlier posts. Yours for the price of postage, if you want them.

Do you still have these LED strips? You wouldnt happen to be near Austin would you? I have a Seiki with bad backlights, but it's a 47 inch. I'll start my own thread here soon. I'm wondering if the strips would even fit a smaller panel? Most likely not.

Wish I could help. We've moved since my posts, and all of that extra stuff went in the trash

              Sorry about that.

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs

                Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...

So I use this TV daily as a second monitor for my PC or my Playstation - at one point a few months back I tried to fix the problem - but in the process, I figured out something that works so I haven't posted this for awhile. It is an annoying trick to have to do though, so I decided to post about it to see if anyone could spot what's wrong. It baffles me because it works on it's own half the time.

When I first got this TV, I was told it wouldn't turn on, and of course I did the flashlight test, and the image was there. Also, the red LED on the front indicated that it had power (it...

                Replacing Mode Indicator LEDs
                by VitalComputing
                Hi all,

I have what should be a simple job but is causing me issues. There are three LEDs (yellow, green and red) on the indicator panel of a solar PWM controller and these have broken off. I need to replace them but I am unsure of the voltage drop across these. I don't want to replace with random LEDs in case they blow.

I took one of the LEDs out of circuit, put 19V across it with a 500 ohm resistor in series and there is a drop of about 13V across the LED, and this seems to increase as I increase the input voltage.

I thought I could just put a resistor...

just a quick question do all qled leds appear blue when fault finding ?
                by jimbofz
i have replaced many leds strips that have changed blue when they are worn
and the new replacements are perfect white
but when fault finding do quantum leds always look blue?

                LEDs for TV Backligth

                Hello everyone
I'm new to LED strip LED replacement.
The original LED comes with a single internal LED or chip. I only get at the moment LEDs with two internal LEDs or chips.
I understand that this is due to the tone of the light they emit.
                My Doubt is:
Can I use the LED with two internal chips without problem?
Will there be much difference in the picture?
I'm going to replace all the LEDs.
Both LEDs (original and replacement) are 3V and the same size....
