LG 50la6230tb led backlights mod after replacement

Have replaced the backlights on a few of these sets and all is well ,but i would like to know if anyone has modified the backlight driver circuit so the backlights can not go to 100% level
To be clearer the user sets the backlights to 100% but the inverter only delivers 60-70% . I sell these TV"s after and would like them to last

    1. should i modify the current sense to limit the current supplied or
    2. modify the level input (dim line) to the IC
    Thanks

If it only has one current sensing for maintaining the constant current then you can increase the resistance to lower the max current allowed to the LEDs, if it has more than one driver circuits then you will have more resistors to change.
If it is Analog dimming that will be easy, the PWM can be a little more complicated.
