My daughter at college has a Vizio M261VP in her dorm room. She was complaining that it was acting funny. She would turn it on and the screen would be all rippled. She would unplug it for a bit. Plug it back in and the LED would flash for about a minute. She would turn it on and it would be fine. Recently I went to visit her and I went to turn it on. The screen became highly distorted. I shut it off and that was it. It wont turn on any longer. I've tested the PSU under load and it is normal. I suspect the issue lies in the main board somewhere.
Are there any known failure points with this board? I've already checked the fuses and looked for suspect parts. Any suggested tests I could do? I have meters, scope et al. Thanks in Advance for any suggestions. I know this particular model has been a sore spot for quite a few so I am hoping there are some known issues I can look for.
