Hi,

Hope someone could help me, i had the backlight fail on my LG. I had the LEDs refurbished and now the back light works fine, all leds lit.

The problem i am now having is i can see the lights on the screen and it seems to be all of them, this never happened before.

The guy that repaired my leds said i put the filter sheets the wrong way round, so i have been swapping them and still seems to be the same issue.

So how do i fix this light bleed and what is the correct order for the filters.

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem

Most likely you've put the diffuser sheets in back to front. They are sorta one-way devices unless the light is exactly on axis....

What i thought but they only fit one way, just uploading some pictures. There are 4 sheets in total. One thick, followed by a shiny mirrored/silver and 2 thin white sheets.

As I said--Inside out, ie--Backside is now on the front....

They Will Fit Inside out, Done it myself....

They need to be in the correct order too....

Silvered sort nearest the thick plastic sheet, then the white ones...

So they do fit another way round?

Silver first and then the other two on top, these seem exactly the same but can only get them one way to line up with the slots on edge.

Could it be that the diffusers have failed? As iv seemed to try every way round but light still seems to seep through :/

Can you buy new ones if so other wise anything else you suggest trying?

What did you mean by the light being exactly on axis....?

They wont fit the wrong way round as the cutouts on the edge will be out but they will fit out of sequence if you mixed them up.
It took me a while to work out the correct way too!

It's driving me mad ���� when I put then on every way I still see small circles of light. Will there always be? Just weather it shines through the screen?

Have you put the white plastic cover (reflector with holes in) and spacer clips back over the LED strips?

Yes Iv done that but think Iv just made the problem worse. Caught one of the ribbons and bulled it off the board and now there's lines down the screen. Is this fixable or not now?

There is no way of repairing the detached ribbon sorry

Iv been told there is as they are sold on eBay a lot. Asked the seller and he said its best to ask a repair person as they are buying them from him.
