Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
Hey everyone, this is the ultimate thread that I've been using to troubleshoot my LC-70LE632U and I feel so close to the solution but need some help.
My set started throwing a 1-1 code recently. I'm able to boot into the K menu. Backlights turn off after ~10 minutes. Reset to factory, reset lamp, all that works fine. Every consecutive time I use the TV, the amount of time I have before it goes into an error state gets shorter. I've replaced the D7951 diode like everyone recommends to no avail. I bought an LED strip voltage tester and all of the strips seem to work fine at 181-183V isolated from the power board.
I'm at a loss for what to do next but hopefully y'all can point me in the right direction. Hopefully 7 years isn't too long a gap for fixing.

Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
I know this thread and this response are both a few years old, but I want to second this sentiment. I replaced the diode just as described, and it worked for me too. This saved my TV from recycling or a landfill and saved me several hundred dollars (at least) for a replacement. My utmost appreciation to you all.Leave a comment:

I just wanted to chime in and say that you all are a bunch of steely-eyed electronics repairmen.
I was able to pick one of these up for $100 because it wouldn't power on. Spent $2 getting parts, replaced D7951, and now it works like a charm! Thank you!Leave a comment:

I wasn't able to find an exact match to my SB2100 133, but I ordered this one from Mouser and swapped it in and my TV works great again.

Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
I've had the exact same issue with my TV and have taken out and tested the same diode and sure enough it is shorted when reading from either direction. Mine is a SB2100 133 instead of the SB2100 050 yours was, but I imagine the diode you used would work for mine? If so - do you still have any of those extras available and be willing to drop one in the mail to me?Leave a comment:

good, once you take the measurements especially around the inverters, you will likely find your problem... compare values across the inverters to see if there are any differences.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
if you measure all the voltages printed on the boards and list them, people here will be as good as "having a working tv pb"... :-) they will likely indicate where you need to look from there.Leave a comment:

We can help a lot more if you please post good clear pictures of the whole chassis, and then pictures of each board using the manage attachments button, which is found by clicking "go advanced" under quick reply.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
We'll there doesn't appear to be any bad solder joints that I could see but I will recheckall the joints today after work. That would be an amazinglycheap fix. There definitely are no bad looking caps that are bulging or leaking. If i get it to power back up whereally should I check for stby on the connector or board somewhere else?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
Well we still do not know if the STBY is present or not when the TV stops working. Or it can be just simple bad solder joints, connections.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
Side note, I just moved the unit back out to check voltages on the board, screwed the power supply board back in and reconnected the wires and plugged it in screen down, and wouldn't you know it the damn thing came on! V logo was on, powered it down, set it up right and grabbed a chrome cast and repowered it. Came up and no errors or flashing lights! Ran it for about 2 minutes and then it went off again and won't power up again.... Is this just bad caps most likely? Should I really cap this bad boy and if so which ones would be beneficial to do first? Is there a good quality recap kit for it?Last edited by Biffm17; 02-07-2016, 10:01 PM.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp Aquos 70" LED LC-70LE632U does not power on
Yes, i did read post 46, with this board, I was not clear which pins were the standby pins or if there was an of place to check for it. This obeisance a large TV which is apart in my living room and the wife isn't too happy having it there... so I will try and look for more voltages .Leave a comment:

'No flashing lights errors of any kind and no standby light. I was not too sure which pins were standby which was why I was asking. ' Did you read my post 46?Leave a comment:

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... -
