Grundig Vivance 32 LXW 82-6710 No Power

Hello, i have this TV that have no power. I find out that i do not have 5V STB (i have only 2.7V) all other output are 0V.

I see that someone replace caps 2 yrs ago. Can this be issue again? Caps look ok to me?

    What else should i check?

2.7V output STBY without having other board connected?
What kind of caps were used for the replacement? General purpose type?
    Were small caps C14, 15, 16 replaced?

I have 2.7 V with connected all board.
Replacement caps is SAMXON 1000uF 35V. 3 out of 5 were replaced. 2 old CapXon still on board.

No small C14, C15 and C16 were not replaced.

i test this caps with capacitance test on my multimeter and all caps are near writen value.
I do not have ESR meter, can it still be faulty and show good capacitance but bad internal resistance?

How about when it is not connected to other board?
C14~16 Startup/running caps can be the problem.

That has to be measurement error. Are you using the correct GND pin of the connector?
I do not see any labels for the connector CN3 pins.

Pin 8,9,10 are GND on CN3. I double check it. When connected board voltage is 2.7V and when disconected i have 12V.

Yes, when cap is heated up the ESR will go down so the circuit will function again.
                    I would change C14~16.

LG 42LB5D (42LB5DF-UL) from 2008-01, unit is in good shape and no obvious heat damage or cracked solder on the boards.

                            Problem:
On first power-up the power LED flashes green about 18x and then stays solid. No backlight or image is present. Click power button, wait 10s for a click and the LED turns red. Wait 1-2s and hit power again and maybe it'll power up fully after 6 green flashes. If it doesn't light up on the sixth flash then the cycle repeats.

It seems that if the mainboard power is left on for a few minutes (solid green power, no backlight, no image)...

                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                            Hello,

First, I am a complete noob with high voltage stuff. I'm learning, but I need help by someone looking over my shoulder.

I recently came into posession of a Heathkit IO-4205 5MHz Dual Trace Oscilloscope. The documentation is copyright 1978. I'm told it works.

I opened it up to check the caps before I applied power, and found the following black caps and wanted to know what they were. They are on the power supply board. I was able to read the name and model and came up with, "Nytronics 162J-1, 0.1uF, 20% tolerance, 2000VDC."

                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Hey guys, bit stumped with this laptop after replacing 2 blown components i.e., MP86493, MP2979A.

To begin with, this laptop was dead-dead.

                            Now with replaced (visibly) blown components, i do get some progress; after connecting battery or main cable;
                            • am getting white power led

this is as far as I can get with it and not sure where to inspect next ?
