Hi!
I recently aquired a "broken tv" from a friend for free. a sony bravia kdl-52W3000. Heres what was wrong with it:
Starts up normally and runs perfectly fine with no issues for several minutes, then suddenly buttons stop working, often it would occur when turning up the volume, the volume would continue to climb to max, then a few seconds later audio cuts out, then a moment later video as well. The lcd turns off completely, no backlight or anything, just the green power light. restarting the tv/unplugging it does not fix the issue. If you let it cool and try again sometimes it will work, sometimes not.
I had come to the conclusion that it was a bad Main board. So i ordered an FB1 main board that had matching board serial number off ebay. After installing the new board the old issue is gone and the tv will run on its own without dying. Only problem is Everything is green(including menu items) and there is no discernible audio or video on any inputs.

I'm thinking that the new board I got from ebay is a dud. any opinions on this?
