With the old board installed the tv functions perfectly. just completely dies after a random amount of time.
I could test voltages if I knew what voltages should be where

Sony KDL-52W3000 Main Board
Hi!
I recently aquired a "broken tv" from a friend for free. a sony bravia kdl-52W3000. Heres what was wrong with it:
Starts up normally and runs perfectly fine with no issues for several minutes, then suddenly buttons stop working, often it would occur when turning up the volume, the volume would continue to climb to max, then a few seconds later audio cuts out, then a moment later video as well. The lcd turns off completely, no backlight or anything, just the green power light. restarting the tv/unplugging it does not fix the issue. If you let it cool and try... -

just did a little more testing. used my chromecast so i knew video would be playing. this is what i got.

second picture is of when the screen should be black. tried to take it while in between sources, which is why its a little blurry. When its trying to pickup a source it looks like the first pictureLeave a comment:

Reload the board?? Yeah the first picture is my WDTV box plugged in. The ebay seller insists that is is the lcd or tconn but it cannot be if the old board functions perfectly in the tv. just dies after a few minutes.Leave a comment:

Hey Guys... So i've installed my (new) main board. TV works and stays on, im able to naviage menus and change source... but everything is green, including menu items. I Have a very similar issue to Sandy Shack. I have Sony KDL-52W3000, turns on fine initially, it warms up, controls stop working first, on remote or tv buttons. Then sound cuts out shortly followed by screen, no image or backlight. Green power light stays on and if i push power button the power light turns off and on but still no image or sound.
Funny thing it most times it will stay running until I attempt to change the volume. I'll hit volume up once or twice and volume will continue to increase...Leave a comment:
