Toshiba regza 55zv635d not turning on

Hi i have a toshiba regza 55zv635d here,
fault from the person i got it off (for £40) says the house electrics went and it wouldnt switch on again after that!

so on first test plug in tv green led comes on at the front for about 9 secs then red led no flashing just steady green/red..

inspected power supply no bulging caps, no dry joints, fets and bridge rectifiers seem ok no shorts the 3 fusable resistors measure ok theyre in series, only the lower relay clicks on, there is a green led that lights on mainboard, also the spdif led shows red, after about 5 mins relay clicks off green led on mainboard and red spdif led go out, all the time red led on front stays on.....
press power button on switch panel relay clicks front led goes green and then turns red again after 5mins (approx) and that is all its doing, tried disconnecting inverters and makes no differance

tested voltages on power supply with all plugs in place and are as follows

5 nc 30.0 volts cable present so its used

3 ac-det 2.65 volts
4 pow-lcd 0 volts
5 gnd-lcd 0 volts
6 gnd-lcd 0 volts
7 12v-lcd 0 volts
8 12v-lcd 0 volts
* seems odd to me marked 18v but shows 27.36 volts
all pins on inverter sockets are 0 volts

does anyone have a service manual for a Toshiba Regza 55ZV635D please(PDF) needed i have had no luck getting toshiba zeus to work! is there a way to convert zeus to pdf

Tom on here has service manuals http://www.toms-service-manuals.com/ maybe he has one for it. By the there looks like a burn mark on your power supply take a picture of that spot. Other then that I fixed 52inch model 52rv535 had a bad fuse and two bulbs was bad.

hi Jeffecor i noticed the burn too its a resistor that gets warm is common as far as i have read it measures ok
i jumped 5.v with pow-sig with a 1k and the 24v now appears on power supply and second relay clicks
also looked at toms manuals and nothing there either
apparantly there was a power cut and never come on since ?

any suggestions ? thank you

Have you looked to see if any of the bulbs are bad or put it in a dark room to see if it try's to turn on the back light? Take flashlight to the screen when its on to if there anything on the screen and just no backlight? try that and report back

Jefecor it doesnt actually turn on, green light then to red after 9 secs eachtime thats it, if i press the power button whilst its red it doesnt do anything it then clicks off after 5 mins all lights off on main board press power button then its green to red theres no 24v on sockets until i apply jumper power-sig from 5v its the first toshiba (non vestel) i have worked on i think im doing right

Have you tried turning it on using a remote rather than the buttons?

Well a green light means the motherboard is getting power from 5v stand by to turn on the 12v etc if the 24v is not there I would say there is a issue with the power supply or inverter.

I'm still thing something is not working right on the burn side of the board. The remote idea is to rule out if the buttons are not working. Because the other boards online don't have that mark there on them and they are used boards.

The main board has to send the PS-ON to turn on the rest of the power supply, but you do not have that signal.

You can disconnect that POW-SIGNAL wire going back to the main board first and use the resistor between POW-SIG pin and the STBY Voltage pin on the power supply board to force on the backlights, if other functions of the main board are OK, then you should have sound and pictures and all other functions, the we may be able to use other control signal to turn on the power supply.
Forget that idea, you also do not have:
4 pow-lcd 0 volt
But try the force on resistor anyway to see what happen.

Budm as suggested and a bit more i have done some jumping here as follows
LEAD______FROM____________________TO

RED _____5V (pin 13 pj90)_________POWER SIG (pin 2 PJ91)

GREEN___5V (pin 13 pj90)_________BL-ON (pin1 cn653)

BLACK___12V (pin 11 pj90)________12V LCD (pin 11 pj90)

result backlights come on no function from main board though still red light on front...

Do you have a universal remote?.... seriously try to turn it on with a remote and not the buttons.

If it turns on, navigate to options and turn off the 'panel lock' function.

toshiba lights up below the screen and now red light goes from red to green then flashing amber/yellow any ideas please ?
