So if you remove the forced on jumper, do the backlights stay on?

i removed them all to try out the remote Budm
the led is red i press the remote it clicks the led is now green and toshiba lights up in the middle off the frame, then another click led then turns yellow flashing,
i read on one post that flashing yellow means failed upgrade and another one says power outage these were for other models though, i cant find a manual for it and i cant get zues to work

I have no idea what the 'Panel Lock' function is for but all we know is that the main board is not sending the control signals.

budm, both relays now click but the yellow flashes now i wonder if its bricked ?
its doing more then it was doing yesterday it seems to be doing what it should but the yellow light is halting it going any further

well guys a bit further on now as the condition of the yellow flashing light goes i removed the inverter plugs and it doesnt flash yellow put them back it flashes yellow again, on the plus side im getting all voltages now inc on inverter sockets and on plug pj91 im getting a full house inc (POW-SIG) and (12v-LCD) which wasnt there before all these are present whilt the green light is on and when its flashing, so im now sure its either the master or slave pulling it down causing error

i think its something like child lock or hotel mode it disables side switches !

im trying to get a service manual for it so i can get pin outs but not having anyjoy at all or something similar may help

right getting nearer found bl-on followed it back to main board probed pin when tv turned on showed 0.01v removed wire that goes to inverter bl-on and the probed bare pin it now reads 3.25v which sounds better.....
jumped a 3.25v feed to wire removed from plug (BL-ON) backlights come on screen shows no signal etc
so bl-on is dragging it down ? if so what as it runs on jumped power ok

is it safe to leave it powered by the pow-sig pin on PJ91 on power supply please

Thanks to: Budm,Hamie,Tom66 its all put back together now up and running

any ideas what i should sell it for as i cant find any been sold lately full hd 1080 55" etc etc

No not good to leave BL-ON in forced on mode, the power supply should be sequenced on first then the BL-ON is applied, this is to let the power supply become stable first before the heavy load (backlights circuit) is applied + other loads. Also see if the backlights stay on when TV goes into standby mode (not OFF mode).
BTW, the BL-ON is low because the main board is not allowing it to go high.
So you upgrade the firmware to get to this point?

hi Budm i have checked and checked again backlights are not on in standby completely black screen comes on with sound at the same time never shows a blank lit screen, maybe a half a second before sound you get channel information signal strengh etc then picture all this takes about a second and a bit i can try and do a video if you wish to make sure

with the bl-on lead taken out of plug on mainboard pin shows 3.25v place lead back into plug it measure 0.01 and yellow flashes ! seems that lead is taking it down?

upgraded firmware off of toshiba site
