Hi all I have this tv which was working fine last night got up this morning and it wouldn't switch on. After some research I found the problem to be the z sustain what was happening was the tv was turning on screen flashes then tv turns off unplugged the z sustain and tv stays on. So now I now what the fault is my question is can the z sus be repaired if so how can I find out what the problem is on it and what component on it needs replacing. Thank you in advance for all help received.

Posting pictures of the back of your tv showing the boards with clear pictures may help you more with fixing your problem -

Re: 50ps3000 z sustain
Where the lumpy bits of solder (if that's makes sense) are on this pic something just didn't look right compared to the other solder so with nothing to lose I just re heated the solder and it all flattened down plugged it all back in and came straight on no problems. Not sure if there is any underlying fault that could of caused this but it's working for now so I'm happy with that.Comment

Hot and cold cycles followed by ROHS solder and subpar soldering by the factory. Nice fix!Did I leave the soldering iron on?Comment

by bohabohaHi it looks like everything works don't know where to test except the 390v in the 2 capacitor in the hot side of the power supply and the weird 180v in the diodes in the cold side that should be discharged it is writin on the circuit no more you can read what is written on the circuit quite srrange color mixiing yellow and white
anyhow i couldn't t read anything else
the backlight is on strong and the screen does not get dark or very dark but no pictures
the mainborad feels a bit hott on the black part i test it to 52 degree's against 34 to 40 on the rest of it

by valvashonThe 55" LG has been in the basement for a few months without being used. Turned it on yesterday, set came on as it should and showed a complete screen for about 5 seconds (was on a broadcast channel but no antenna was connected), then the screen went mostly dark with about 1/3 of the screen on the right lighting up with brighter lines in that lit part (sorry, no pictures of that). Power LED was cycling too, preventing the TV from fully powering up.
Pulled the back off, all boards looked OK. Pulled the LED connector, turned the set on to see if it would power up but I don't belive it... -
by 2elwHey, I find it very absurd that the SVOD4 costs so much and has zero documentation. I had no other choice than to buy it to unlock ECs, if there was any documentation or firmware avalible I could've made it or something simmilar. Anyways here are some of the most important parts:
STM32H723VGT6 MCU - It's a microcontroller by STMicroelectronics and its the whole brain of the SVOD4. It has flash memory for the firmware which can be updated by the SVOD4 program. Its also powered by the AMS117 which converts 5v into 3.3V. 7€ on AliExpress.

by Keshenatech1Hi, I was wondering if there's anyone here with experience on the LG50PJ350 plasma or similar models? When it came in, it had 7 shorted mosfet outputs on the Y-sustain board, Q02, 04,11, 22, 24, 26, and 28 were all dead shorted. I replaced them with the exact same type, checked their surrounding area for other open and shorted components and didn't see any further problems. But as soon as I hit the power button on the remote, I had a loud Pop! and Q22, 24, 26, and 28 are shorted out again. The other 3 seem to have survived. Someone on another forum had suggested the possibility of a shorted panel....

Hi friends,
I am trying to take good quality pictures of rather large desktop motherboards for a project I'm working on. I had a brilliant idea of scanning them with a flatbed scanner I have but it only focuses on the bits of the board that are flush to the scanning glass. And the through hole components tend to lift the main board from the scanning glass. Everything else just looks out of focus. So it seems that that option wont run.
I have been capturing the images with my iPhone 11 and it's okay but wont capture the whole board. I have to grab it in sections and... - Loading...
