Re: Sharp AQUOS 70" LCD model LC-70LE550U
Does anyone one know where I can purchase the cables that connect the side boards together? I need the one for the corner and the one in the middle on the sides.

The connectors that lie between the green panels on the outside ends of the bottom and the green panels on the bottom of the sides.
Anyway I seem to be getting inconsistent behaviour now (white partial panel for example that I didn't think I was getting before) when I try disconnecting/reconnecting more, either i'm not getting the connectors back in properly or something upstream is definitely flakey.
put your glasses on.... :-) A white screen (half) is a sign that the cabling between the tcon and panel is not connected on that side. IF true, this is also likely a reason for your "ugly" screen shot of the "one corner cable operating mode".Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp AQUOS 70" LCD model LC-70LE550U
OK... I think I understand you. BUT... that is only "part of the ultimate operation".
Those two "corner cables" (ie. one on each side of the panel") are used to isolate which side of the TV is "most in trouble".... meaning if you have all the cables fully connected and then only disconnect one of the corner cables.... and the tv doesn't provide any picture... that means that the tv is trying to run on the other corner cable (along with ALL the other "stuff") and can't because something on that "portion" is BAD. Reversing the process and doing the other corner and getting some form of picture, means that you got rid of / disconnected some / most of the bad stuff and the tv is now able to produce some picture. BUT disconnecting only the corner cable DOES NOT guarantee you will get a "good picture" because the TABS on the BAD side are still connected to the panel and have a potential of impacting the remaining good tabs of the other side.
Having said that the picture you posted still shows significant issues which may mean other issues. :-(
What is the history of the tv... how did it get to where it is (what happened)? Have you scanned the side tabs and bottom ones for that matter, to see if there are any obvious issues with them that might help determine which are a problem.Leave a comment:

Not too sure as to what's going on. Have you tried a replacement T con board.
Also is there any way for you to post a picture of an actual screenshot with something displaying on the screen besides the no signal.
I'm looking for something that would display the lines going across screen but fading away on one sideLast edited by freakaftr8; 04-10-2018, 12:41 PM.Leave a comment:

you might want to provide a picture of exactly which cables / tabs you are referring as i think you misunderstand.Leave a comment:

Yes those ones, so disconnecting the side drivers on one side gives me no picture, removing the other side gives me the picture above.Leave a comment:

Are you talking about the bottom corner ribbon cables that connect the bottom drivers to the side drivers?Leave a comment:

That's an odd one. How's it look with just one either side ribbon connected?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp AQUOS 70" LCD model LC-70LE550U
I finally tried the disconnection trick on a TV that hasn't been working for a while, totally blank screen and it now mostly works.
However there are a bunch of random black lines across the screen:
Would this be caused by a fault in the actual panel or could it be the main board or T-Con board?Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp AQUOS 70" LCD model LC-70LE550U
I have a Sharp LC70LE550u when the TV is OFF I get two slow blinks continually. When I turn ON the TV the blinkng stops the back light comes ON and the screen lights up white but no picture, only sound. I cannot find any error code that fits the two slow blinks except for power PCB. But the voltages on the power board reads good. Any suggestions/help, would be appreciated.Last edited by nomoresonys; 02-22-2018, 07:55 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Sharp AQUOS 70" LCD model LC-70LE550U
Does this same issue apply to the 3 short and 1 long blinks? I have a sharp lc-70tq15u where I believe I have a bad panel. I removed the two ribbons from the T-con board and now I have the backlight on both sides of the screen however the left side of the screen is blank and that has the ribbons removed from Tcon board. whats my best course of action to get this tv to come to life again? I noticed earlier in the thread it says remove the small connector on the Tcon board however I believe the TQ,SQ,UQ are slightly different. Any help would be appreciated.Leave a comment:

tough to see due to lighting conditions but maybe the second one shows the brown flex cables if I "understand" the picture. you may have to remove the bezel on one side (hopefully the bad side... where the horizontal line originates from) and get a closer look at the panel edge where the cables are attached.Leave a comment:

by scubacamperI found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display... -
by RozpHello Everyone,
This is my first post so I will try to be as precise as possible without making this post too long winded. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the original problem but I included images of the TV internals.
I have a Sharp 70LE660U. The problem started a few months ago with the bottom row looking out of sync and was dark on the left side and then fading to transparent on the right side. Shortly after, a dark cloud appeared in the center of the screen. The dark cloud started small and shaded but the image was visible. It also affected the menu area.... -
by klassicHi community,
I will describe my problem with a TV in those short following terms to be the most precise :
What i have :
Sharp Aquos LC-60LE635E
power board DPS-162KP-1
main logic board QPWBXF733WJN2
symptoms :
white led light logo at startup,
after 2 minutes, blinking 3 times a row, repeating
no backlight (and apparently no picture, checked panel with flashlight)
no startup sound
powerboard investigations :
1-2 PNL : 0v
3-4 GND
5-6-7-8 UR : 13.15v

by SmartSarahDear,
I can not pinpoint the following problem on my Sharp TV LC70LE747E.
While the left side of the screen is not affected at all the right side of the screen gradually fades to a kind of dark. I can best describe this darkness like a totally worn out CRT display or a gamma correction totally out of range. This darkness flickers like a flame, a dark one tough.
Sometimes when I restart the TV it disappears for a while.
The problem worsened over time the last few months.
I've replaced the t-con module without success. The problem remains.

by foxyUKCan anyone help me diagnose this? Almost not worth bothering with, but it has 'sentimental value' for the owner. I'm no TV technician, but dabble a bit.
The TV has standby power but no reaction at all to switching on or reboot steps, No flashing lights or response to menu button. All voltages on the power board are correct apart from missing voltage on pin 12 of CN7003.
There is 13 v on U7053 but no 3v signal to switch it on. I don't really understand whether the 3v should come from U7401 in the standby control area, or (as suggested elsewhere) from the mainboard via pin 12.... - Loading...
