    Slightly damaged screen

Found this PN43D440 Plasma screen. There is a little spider web on the screen, it looks like only the glass is cracked.

TV doesn't stay on. VS and VA start up ok then are turned off.

Is there a way to check if the screen is damaged taking measurements?

Well disconnect the y buffer boards and cables off the zsus to panel.. voltages will probably stay up. You cannot operate a TV with a damaged panel it will pull too much current in send power supply and to shut down, also you probably have damaged buffer boards from the electrodes being shorted
Did I leave the soldering iron on?

Can't check for shorted electrodes on a panel however you can test the buffer boards that connect to the panel from the Y sustain. Where the crack is that offending I see might be shorted and that would shut down and load down your power supply. If you disconnect the Y sustain buffer boards from the Y sustain board and disconnect the ribbon cables on the Z sustain connecting to the panel you can try to power up the TV and see if the power supply stays on of course you won't be able to really tell unless you monitor the vs voltage with a voltmeter in DC mode

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
          by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

          Merry Christmas everyone!

I got this TV for free, hoping that I would be able to fix it. So far I can't....
The previous owner claimed that the screen is good, the TV has never been hit or dropped or anything like that; physically the screen does look intact.

          Symptoms:
When I press the remote, a relay inside it clicks and a second later clicks again (refuses to power on).

When I disconnect the black ribbon cable from the main board and the tcon board, the tv refuses to run from the remote nor from the "on" button underneath the screen,...

Macbook Air M2 A2681 Kernel panics after screen replacement
          by reformatt
Just had a customer bring in a M2 MBA A2681 that had had a screen replacement in April at another repairer. Since then, she has been getting intermittent kernel panics. It's an aftermarket screen, and of course it fails in diagnostics as the calibration hasn't been done. The error in the panic log is "No device added after powering on the rails".

It seems the original repairer has swapped the board and the screen to other MAC's, and said that it isn't a screen issue. From what I understand, by doing a quick search on Google, this is in fact a screen issue. The panic relates...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
          by smic717394
          Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...
