Re: Akura 22" LED TV AMELADVD2YR215FDVH Standby problem

Thanks Comptek (looks like your close to me - I live in So Shields!).
I think I have now shown the V regs not to be the problem as they all work fine once power actually reaches them down the circuit.
Still doing more measuring but not complete yet.
I find that when I have the set actually working and I press the Power button to put it into Standby the red light comes on but 12 volts remains across the board through D3 and supplying the v regs for some considerable time and then drops to 0v. If I then press the P on button or remote while these readings are either 12v or 0v the set wont come to life under any circumstances.
When i turn it off at the wall instead the voltage obviously plummets straight to 0v and if I switch it back on at the wall the voltage measured at D3 goes to 12v and stays there! - pressing the Power button when the reading is this 12v wont let the set fire up.
However on every third attempt of turning off then on at the wall the 12v displays then rapidly drops down to near 0v and if I press the Power on or remote at that point the set comes fully to life.
I think this must be a software problem with the Eeprom unless those better experienced and knowlegible than me can see this being caused by something I am not thinking of.

By pure chance and good fortune I managed to get up the factory Service menu on the set.
Can anyone help me as to which of these options might lead to an Eeprom reset?

My guess shipping mode is the one can you remember how you got into factory settings as it may help other members too.

Sorry for the delayed post but domestic issues intervened!
Still haven't got this set sorted so i think I will be forced to a new main board.
Anyway if it is of help to others the service menu for this set is "input" on the remote, followed by 2580 ( in that order) on the remote. This is the code to get into the service menu on a Teac set which uses a slightly different version of the CV306 board but it works fine for the Akura set as well ( and probably other sets using a CV 306 board).
Hope that helps others and if anyone has any further help they can offer on this Akura problem I would be grateful to hear

            Yamaha TSX 120 Standby Problem
            by psssst
Hello forum. I've recently been given a Yamaha TSX 120 DAB radio and ipod dock. Its working well however when put on standby its using 6.3 watts. The manual states less than 1 watt on standby. I measured this with a plug in monitor which seems accurate with other items. In use it uses around 7.5 watts. Firstly has anyone who owns a similar radio also got a plug in monitor to check if this is normal with this unit? In the first half a second the monitor shows 0.3 watts which I suspect is what it should use but something is switching it to be almost fully powered. I've searched the manual for eco...

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
            by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
            1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
            2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
            3. Problem: TV shuts down

Anker SoundCore 2 Bluetooth Speaker Turns Off After a Few Seconds (Possibly Firmware Issue?)
            by zklgfs
            Hi,

I have an Anker SoundCore 2 (A3105) that I saved from the trash (well, I guess there's a reason why it was supposed to go into the trash...). The problem is that it always turns off after a few seconds (sometimes it stays on a bit longer, between 30 and 60 seconds, but it still turns off). The power light turns on and the bluetooth light starts blinking, but both abruptly turn off again. The "turn off sound" is still played after the lights turn off. Sometimes, it also loops the on-off cycle several times without me pressing any buttons. If I connect an AUX cable, music...
